Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, GRAMMY Award-winning Billy Strings is known as one of music's most compelling artists. Most recently, he unveiled "California Sober," a collaboration with legendary artist Willie Nelson--his first release since partnering with venerable label, Reprise Records.
The collaboration follows Strings' most recent full-length album, Me/And/Dad, which was released last fall and features Strings alongside with his dad, Terry Barber. The product of a longtime dream, the record features new versions of fourteen bluegrass and country classics that the two have been playing together since Strings was a young child.
Since his 2017 debut, Strings has been awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, Artist of the Year at the 2022 and 2023 Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year at the 2021, 2022 and 2023 International Bluegrass Music Awards, Best New Headliner at the 2022 Pollstar Awards, Breakthrough Artist of the Pandemic at the 2021 Pollstar Awards and has performed on the 64th GRAMMY Awards, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," PBS' "Austin City Limits," "Bluegrass Underground" as well as countless sold-out tour dates world-wide.
Billy Strings is nominated for three awards at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards: Best Bluegrass Album (Me/And/Dad), Best American Roots Song ("California Sober" feat. Willie Nelson) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("High Note" with Dierks Bentley).
Billy Strings and band are amazing!! He is the best guitar player I have ever seen and we have seen many in our lifetime!! They absolutely move my soul. Thank you Billy and band! Rupp was a great venue as well.
If the theives at LN would not buy and re sale all of the tickets to popular shows, more people would get to expierence at a much greater rate.
These guys are amazing. The blend of genres, while staying true to who he is as an artist, is something everyone should witness at least once. I was able to take my mom to her first show Friday and a friend to his first Saturday. They both had a blast and I was happy I was able to share this moment with them. Check these guys out at a town near you ASAP. BMFS!!!!!
Amazing experience. The only problem is they didn’t turn on transfer till the last day and they never turned on option to sell so I lost 360.00$

The Rupp Arena was an overall great experience! Centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, unique shops and Level entertainment center. Parking was easy, security was a breeze and access to the Hyatt Hotel was convenient. Not to mention, the Billy Strings band played 2 nights of utterly amazing music. This venue is was very clean and organized. I'd definitely come back. Billy Strings and his band are some of the most talented musicians I've ever seen! They're range and skill is bar none. Greatly anticipating seeing more of their shows this summer. Five stars!
One of the best bluegrass shows I have seen. The band is tight and the picking is awesome.
The Friday night concert was more than a half hour late getting started. The acoustics sucked, we had good seats but couldn’t understand a word he sang then the Jamming was much too long, if I had been stoned like several around me the jamming would have still been too much!
Omg is all I can say. What a great performance with Billy stings and his band . The best concert I have ever attended and he was just amazing with his voice and his guitar playing . I am older and didn’t realize that everyone stood up for the concert and it was hard for me to stand and really couldn’t see the band at all . Thank goodness a couple of people left because they couldn’t see and we moved to their seats and we could see good then .
Billy Strings puts on a phenomenal live show! It’s like bluegrass meets the Grateful Dead, meets speed-metal! Spectacular show!!
The venue was perfect location in a state park with parking and shuttle provided. The staff were friendly in all areas in the venue. The sounded and sight lines were excellent. Billy String is amazing as always. He always gives you 110% every show. My husband and I are looking forward to attending future concerts here.
Concert was awesome! He and band did a fantastic job! Will come again.

Billy’s down to earth demeanor yet out of this world guitar playing must be experienced. Every musician is fantastic. Wish I could see every show.
An Amazing Awesome show by a great band, group of musicians, and of course, BMFS! As an aging Hippie, the future looks bright musically, but the venue needs to consider people, like me, who don't need wheelchair accommodations but have mobility issues, specifically bad back and knees, the weight bearing joints. First, even with being dropped off at the curb, there were loooong lines, for security check. Ticket check was a breeze! Thank You! Then I had a long walk to our seats, and the entire audience seemed to stand the entire night!! I get it, they liked it! But my back and knees didn't like all that standing!! Took me three days to get "back to normal". Hope that helps venue managers consider the baby boomer generation's needs. I'm 77, and still Lovin' good music!

Same as the title. He’s the best entertainer going right now, I’ve been to hundreds and hundreds of shows and haven’t seen this kind of crowd command since Jerry Garcia. Haters, hate away, more room for me!
These guys are great. Highly recommend catching a show.
