About

Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, GRAMMY Award-winning Billy Strings is known as one of music's most compelling artists. Most recently, he unveiled "California Sober," a collaboration with legendary artist Willie Nelson--his first release since partnering with venerable label, Reprise Records.

The collaboration follows Strings' most recent full-length album, Me/And/Dad, which was released last fall and features Strings alongside with his dad, Terry Barber. The product of a longtime dream, the record features new versions of fourteen bluegrass and country classics that the two have been playing together since Strings was a young child.

Since his 2017 debut, Strings has been awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, Artist of the Year at the 2022 and 2023 Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year at the 2021, 2022 and 2023 International Bluegrass Music Awards, Best New Headliner at the 2022 Pollstar Awards, Breakthrough Artist of the Pandemic at the 2021 Pollstar Awards and has performed on the 64th GRAMMY Awards, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," PBS' "Austin City Limits," "Bluegrass Underground" as well as countless sold-out tour dates world-wide.

Billy Strings is nominated for three awards at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards: Best Bluegrass Album (Me/And/Dad), Best American Roots Song ("California Sober" feat. Willie Nelson) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("High Note" with Dierks Bentley).

The was over the top great. Next time we'll get better seats. We were close to a portal and people would come in and just stand there in front of us.

  • Billy Strings, Prudential Center, NJ, 11-15-25

by Peter C., New Jersey on 11/24/25Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Just a remarkable concert, band, and Billy Strings is an extraordinary player and excellent vocalist. This was my first Billy Strings show, though I've watched quite a bit of him and his band online. This was my first in-person, live performance of Billy. I've been into the Grateful Dead and the jam band scene for 40+ years, and bluegrass for close to 50 years. I also had the chance to see Molly Tuttle twice this year, another exceptional bluegrass picker/player, guitarist and vocalist. It's hard to put into words the talent, sounds, and feelings of the music and songs of Billy and his band. The music just takes you places. The traditional bluegrass songs are fantastic but some of the jams ... wow, where he and the band go with their jams is something else. Fantastic show!! Can't wait for the next one. Cheers. Thanks.

My third and definitely not my last Billy Strings show! Billy and his band consistently deliver an amazing experience. The set list was a great mix of originals and covers and the band as always was tight and sounded awesome! If you have never seen Billy jam on his guitar you really have no idea what you're missing!

One can only explain the mind blowing performances that Billy brings if you are lucky enough to have been present as well. Otherwise- buy the ticket and take the ride!

  • Truly great show!

    by G. Sands on 11/18/25Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Billy Strings never disappoints. Being an older classic rock guy and loving the Allman Bros., Grateful Dead, etc., Billy can fit right in with the best of them. My new favorite band!
