Not as good as previous shows

by DrRiddler on 5/21/24Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Winston Salem

While Bill had his funny moments, he missed a lot too. Somewhere in the middle of the show he went on a KKK rant that both offended and lost the audience. I'm still not sure where he was going with it. In general, it seems that now is married and has a couple kids, his view of the world has changed and softened. That's all well and good, but that's not the comedian I came to see. I still laughed, but not as much as I have at his previous specials. On another note, the concert itself was horribly run. Doors supposedly opened at 6, and we arrived around 6:15. Lines were incredibly long and slow moving. It took about an hour while standing in light rain to get into Lawrence Joel Coliseum. Once we got in, the lines for any concession stand were so long it was impossible to get a beer. I understand the phone policy and putting it into the sealed case (so you can't take pictures or record) but it also seemed like that slowed the process of entry significantly. Overall it was a poorly run event. On top of that, there was no segregated area to get an Uber after the show. You had to pick one up on the street. Better planning is needed for concerts at this location.

    Yo Freckles!

by ClareB on 5/21/24Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Winston Salem

Bill Burr was perfect. Some comedians make me nervous, “Will the crowd laugh? Will he read the room right?” but old Freckles was just so relaxed and in control. The crowd really responded to him and I had a great, truly enjoyable night. I’m so glad that Mr B made the trip to Winston-Salem.

    Outside

One of the best if you have soft skin he I probably not for you. He calls everyone out. Like all comedians should be able to do.

A great night with Bill Burr

by TAM on 5/21/24Schottenstein Center - Columbus

Bill Burr has a specific comedic voice and he brought it to Columbus. He made fun of the Midwest while we laughed along. The opening act was unnecessary but not horrible.

Small Boston Hands Visits the South

by SploogieSquidInk on 5/21/24Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Winston Salem

There was much to be surprised about on the day of this event. For starters, the storm knocked out the stadium power leaving many to fear a cancellation. Thankfully, this was not the case and once power was restored, Bill the man was able to entertain a large southern crowd that had gathered to listen to the booming Bostonian orator with small hands and shinny head.

    Amazing show, okay venue

by Sierra on 5/21/24Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Winston Salem

A wonderful experience in spite of bad weather and a delayed show. Bill really made the best out of a weird experience (and his admittedly weird mood). I'd be happy to see him again, just probably not at LJVM. While Tanger is smaller and ticket prices would probably be higher to compensate, I'd be willing to pay the price for the comfort of an actual theatre.

    Horrible

by Rod on 5/21/24Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Winston Salem

Waited in traffic for over an hour. Waited in a line in the rain for over an hour. Terrible experience...

    Bill Burr is AWESOME

by Katie on 5/21/24Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The show was great! That was my first time seeing a comic in a setting that big- it was great. There were a few times the sound didn’t catch everything he said when he was riffing fast. The opener was great too but we needed a graphic with his name. Could not hear it clearly. Entry was a mess. No clear starting point for the lines. Not enough guidance from staff. Not enough staff to open electronics bags on the way out. But overall a great experience.
