This is the fourth time I have seen Bill Burr - he always has new material and his delivery style is very natural. I love his rants and his unique take on everyday situations is always laugh out loud funny. I would highly recommend seeing him if you enjoy comedians who have a shocking take on life.

Humble and Honest Comic comes back home

    by Eric81 on 5/7/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Bill Burr was everything I expected and more. I was excited that he did not do any recycled material and also kind of want with the flow of the audience poked fun at some of the audience members reactions. It was a great experience and for the cost and amount of time he performed i felt like I robbed him.

I thought it was a good show, however not as good as his "why do I do this?". That one is a must have, I watch that one pretty often.

Friday's showing was excellant. Each comedian delivered and of course Bill was at his best. Would have liked to see the audience become more involved, as I know Bill likes that.

    most memorable evening

by cavcav on 11/8/09Town Hall - New York

We waited almost an entire year for Bill to be in our area and it was more than worth the wait. It exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait until he comes to our area again. We brought a couple friends with us who had never heard of him and they were blown away and so pleased that they came along. Bill is an amazing and talented comedian and I would tell anyone that has not seen or heard him that his shows are well worth going too. We had not laughed that much in so long. Thanks for a fabulous evening.

Why isn't this guy a superstar?

by DrGreenspan on 11/8/09Town Hall - New York

No dick jokes. No scatalogical humor. No jokes that start, "Don't you hate it when..." No cliches. No tired repackaged material. Just genuinely hillarious, slightly angry observational humor without Seinfeld-lameness. The best moment was Burr's "Gangs of New York" response to a heckler. Unrehearsed, original, spot-on funny. See this guy while you can still afford good seats. Brilliant.

I enjoyed the opener DeRosa as an unlooked-for surprise; some of the things the first man (Paul? the emcee) said; and about 20% of the Bill Burr routine. I think this was a slight off-night for Burr, though I respect the fact that great comedians need to have varied levels of funny-ness in order to create and grow. I had a feeling I was watching a night of reflection and experimentation, as well as naturalness on the part of Burr. In any event, it's always fun to see the audience's reactions to things and I love it when Burr plays off against the various members who chime out things to him.
