Country group Big & Rich hit the big time when “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” off their triple-platinum 2004 debut became a Top 40 hit.The song outlnined the duo’s arrival in Nashville and was featured in commercials during the 2004 World Series of Poker and Super Bowl XLI, garnering the band further attention after appearing in the video game Karaoke Revolution Country. Big & Rich’s fan base is so widespread that 2014 tour dates only sell a limited amount of tickets per individual. Peoria, Illinois, will be welcoming the country duo to Ravina on the Lakes in July 2014. America’s Technicolor cowboys provide plenty of party songs while on tour, including “Party Like Cowboyz” and "Get Your Game On." Interspersed throughout the concert are socially conscious ballads, such as "Last Words," John Rich’s description of "Roy Orbison meets Queen."
John Rich was one of the original members of country band Lonestar before meeting Hollywood Records solo artist Kenny Alphin (Big Kenny) in a club. They collaborated on writing the song, “I Pray for You,” in 1998 and started MuzikMafia (Musically Artistic Friends in Alliance). Both John and Big Kenny participate in worthwhile philanthropy projects, including performing in a 2006 benefit concert for construction of the 173rd Airborne Memorial, which was later turned into a documentary. The concert's Vietnam-era song, “8th of November,” was recorded in 2007. Big & Rich are still spending plenty of time in the studio and plan to release their fifth album in 2014. The duo’s hard work has paid off with nominations for Vocal Duo of the Year in 2012 and 2013. "We continue to try to inspire," says Kenny. "We just try to be ourselves in a world that sometimes insinuates you shouldn't go outside the boundaries.”
Great time at the concert!!! Big and Rich have great respect for our military and veterans...
I saw Big and Rich before, but this show was soo much better. I always like that they honor the troops the way that they do . Really an excellent show. The venue was great, weather was perfect for an outside concert. I will definitely go back to this venue for other shows
Everything was wonderful. They are amazing performers. It was great seeing Cowboy Troy and their "cousin" Gary LeVox. They are wonderful for honoring our military onn stage and their songs.
Venue was nice, workers were super nice. Was able to get pit tickets and was front row.
Gary LeVox and Big & Rich (with Cowboy Troy) were great. But the unique feature that blew it over-the-top was DJ Sinister who revved-up the crowd leading into B&R. Incredible mix that built energy like I've never seen prior to the main act. Also helped that the weather was perfect.
Wonderful, loved the whole show. Wanted to see Gary for years and he didn’t disappoint. Loved Big and Rich,Cowboy Troy and SinisterDan. They all were great and I am all but 78 years old. Loved being outside too.
I got GM seats and we sat all the way in the back, after talking to Newman from Bob 94.9 telling him I was a big fan for years he gave me and my girlfriend Maria pit wristbands in the front. Thank you Newman, that was one of the nicest things anyone ever has done for me.
Couldn't have been any better!!! The weather, the music, and the patriotic environment were outstanding!!!
All time favorite country music entertainment. Always have a blast- can’t stop dancing, laughing and crying during “The 8th of November”. Love love love Big & Rich!!!!
It was a fun and enjoyable show. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Cowboy Troy was a favorite of ours. I was happy to get his autograph after the show.
The concert was 1 hr. and 15 minutes! Most of the time they talked and interacted with the audience. Very disappointed. They didn't even play many of their own songs; at one point they did a medley of other artists' songs.
We really enjoyed their concert, fun, great songs, honored America and its’ people!!!! Thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This was a waste of time and money. You could not hear any words and it was such a disappointment. They only played for an hour and the venue was horrible.
This concert was incredible!!! I’ve seen them before and they still amaze me!!! Cowboy Troy was the highlight for me!!! I’ll see them next time too!!
Had a great time awesome show saluting all the service members wish they would’ve played for two hours
They do a Fantastic Show! Love Both of Them! Love the fact that they are so Patriotic and they bring Service Men up on Stage.
They are one of the best bands i have ever seen! They are definitely all about their fans
Great show. Big Kenny and John love our veterans. Great musicians. They get crowd moving.
They put on an amazing performance! I couldn't have enjoyed myselfore. I think the only thing better would have been VIP tickets!!! I will have to look for some next time I see them.
They were great! Their voices were as strong as you hear them on the radio. Their patriotism is fantastic! God bless America! Great show!
