The show was better than I expected. Slick Rick was fantastic. He did all of his favorites and wore his bling just like back in the day. Go Slick Rick, Go Slick Rick Go! Big Daddy Kane did not disappoint. He was on his game! The Smooth Operator came to please and he did. The sound system was good as were the respective DJ's. Gotta love that Old School!

    old school rap

by smileyinri on 3/31/13Wilbur Theatre - Boston

So glad i had purchased the floor seats. Gotdance all night and move around without bumpingto others. Other fans were cool, like if someone was standing close to the stage theyd let you get in front of them to take pictures. Show opened with a dj. He talked too much. every song he played he said "member this" or he would sing\rap over the song. Slick rick and big daddy were great!

Big Daddy Kane proved his legendary status

by drascoe on 2/26/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Big Daddy Kane proved why he is one of the greatest rappers of all-time and as far as I am concerned he is one of the top 5 of all time and my all-time favorite MC. His initmitable lyrics and swagger was in top form at BB King. I wish he had performed, "It's Hard Being Kane" and some of hit songs off of his Veteran's Day album but nonetheless the show was fuego!!!

Great energy. I forgot what good hip hop was about. No cursing, perfect melody and harmony. So glad I grew up with this music and being a 70's baby.

    One Of The Greatest EMCEES

by Tarshif on 1/26/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

It was an honor to watch in person one of the greatest emcees perform. He inspired me as a kid and I'm glad to see he continues to grow and make music. As a musician myself, watching BDK and his bad inspires me to learn and to do my own thing. Peace & Love.

    Long live the Kane

by DougSque on 1/26/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Came up from Philly to check this show out for my birthday. Kane was the truth, the band was great, and the atmosphere was laid back. Kane is still settin it off with that classic hip hop. Definitely a must see show.

HIP-HOP ft. BIG DADDY KANE, EPMD, CHUBB ROCK & ...

by DaaGodfather on 7/20/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

The show was incredible! I always wanted when I was listening to that music what would it be like to hear it again 20 or 30 years later - It still feels GOOD – Damn Good! Because it brings you back to some good days!!!! I just want to know can Kane still walk after that split. (But then again James Brown was doing the split until he was 65!) The

    Loved it!

by Annymac on 7/20/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

It was absolutely fabulous. It started late but when they got started no one wanted it to end. There were so many performers from the old school hip hop groups you just couldn't believe it. Even after it was supposed to be over they still brought up people to perform. Eric From EPMD even came through the crowd to say hello and take pictures after their performance.

    disappointed

by Anonymous on 9/26/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

just ok if that... band vs a dj and base...what's worse than no stars? facility...5 stars...drinks were pricey, but expected that. location was awesome. food was just aight...service was bad, they needed way more servers artist...rapping was on point, lyrics hittin, having a band vs a DJ and base was a poor choice performance...gr8 lyrical set, very very poor performance, no dancing, not a band type artist, very disappointing. $20rip off

BIG DADDY KANE & FRIENDS ROCKED IT!!

    by 69michs on 6/27/10Paradise Theater - Bronx

The concert was GREAT! A beautiful venue with so much energy! Big Daddy Kane did such an amazing job and reminded us how much fun Hip Hop was back in the day! Chubb Rock blew the lid off the house! He took us back to carefree days of college! Monifah and Peter Guns had us reminiscing! Although Christopher Williams was a no show, Melissa Morgan was a great fill in! The drinks were delicious and it was just a wonderful night out!! Michelle
