About

Bible Bingo is a comedy written by Vicki Quade about the Catholic culture of fundraising and bingo, featuring the character, Mrs. Mary Margaret O'Brien, a former nun who now heads a fictitious archdiocese fundraising department.

The Chicago Stage Standard calls the show, “A fresh new twist on bingo.” New City Chicago raves, “the show is filled with Catholic humor.”

The role is shared by four performers: Vicki Quade, Kathleen Puls Andrade, Michelle Renee Thompson, and Cheryl Roy.

In this interactive comedy, the parish needs money and Mrs. O’Brien is ready to help! Bring the two together and you have a night of bible trivia, audience interaction, improvised moments, and the funniest quiz about the Holy Family you’ve ever seen.

Add to that a box of wacky prizes, fun bingo cards, and a lot of Catholic humor. In this interactive bingo show, you’ll actually play bingo, and still learn a little something about what it means to be Catholic! The show gets the audience talking about everything from Adam & Eve to modern sins.

You’ll be laughing so hard, you’ll have to be careful watching your bingo cards!

“Bible Bingo is a really good show,” says Theatre by Numbers.  “A number of people get together to have some munchies and drinks.  They play a few rounds of Bingo while they laugh, sing, chat, and goof around.  It is a beautiful thing.”

Go ahead…. resurrect your social life in this guaranteed night of divine entertainment!
More fun than Sodom and Gomorrah!!
So much fun, you’ll have to confess it!!!

If you enjoy an interactive play then Bible Bingo is for you. The ":Sister" who stars in the show is excellent at including the audience and finding ways to have us appreciating not only her stories and jokes but the humorous comments that we bring to the event. Everything is designed to draw you in and make you laugh from the bingo prizes to the bingo rules. It was a lot of fun!

    Bible Bingo is a side-splitter!!

by Caviltsky on 1/18/17Royal George Theatre - Chicago

Vicki Quade does a marvelous job of bringing back all the hijinks and hilarity of being in a Catholic grammar school class. She's a natural at interacting with the audience and involving just about everyone in the room! We laughed a ton and thoroughly enjoyed the show!

Four of us had the best time!

by Cassiek27 on 9/23/16Royal George Theatre - Chicago

It was like going back in time to Catholic grade school. The audience participation was constant. We played bingo, won prizes and laughed through the entire two-act, one person play. Mrs. O'Brien was wonderful in her role. We couldn't have asked for a better time!

    Silly and Fun

by liverpool123 on 7/27/16Royal George Theatre - Chicago

This was a hilarious evening led by a wonderful actress who really engaged everyone there - scolding, mocking, glaring and smirking just like how I remember it in school. She's great. It was a small audience but it made no difference, in fact it may have increased the enjoyment since she remembered everyone's name or details and used them accordingly. Have a drink, relax and be prepared for silliness - and some really tacky prizes !

If you're Catholic, go and see it. If you ever had that one teacher, go and see it. If you like to laugh, go and see it. It's truly improv and is done with such skill and mastery, you might forget that you're in the theater.

    Bible Bingo full of laughs

Great show for all faiths. Catholic based but everyone there participated in one way or another! Did not know what was coming next for a laugh. Actually won Bingo prizes, too.

    Bible bingo

by Fghipmn on 4/26/16Royal George Theatre - Chicago

Very funny and light-hearted. I also learned a few things about both Old and New Testaments. If you were ever taught by nuns, you will find the show a hoot!

Different than what I expected (but hilarious)

by Anonymous on 4/25/16Royal George Theatre - Chicago

Oddly enough, I didn't expect to play bingo at this event (maybe I didn't read the details closely enough), but overall I had a blast and I would definitely attend another show put on by this group.

    A fun evening!!!

by MaisieB on 2/8/16Royal George Theatre - Chicago

It was an enjoyable evening with friends. With 16 years of Catholic education behind me, it really it home with so much humor & affection. Vicky Quade had a quick wit and kept everyone --Catholic or not -- laughing.

    Not worth the money

by popthetop on 6/22/15Royal George Theatre - Chicago

The show tickets are overpriced for the quality of the show. The "ex nun" was engaging, however, I was expecting something more. The show would be more entertaining if it had been presented by a "nun in habit". Would have given it a more true to life feeling.
