About

BETTY WHO IN CONCERT:

Betty Who's infectious pop tunes are taking the world by storm -- the adorable songstress is charming audiences with her platinum-blonde pixie cut and signature red lipstick, channeling her inner Marilyn Monroe on stage. Whether she's rocking out to her hit "Somebody Loves You" or performing a stripped-down acoustic version of "Giving Me Away,"  the Australian singer mesmerizes with her killer voice. Betty Who's '50s style and charismatic pop hits will be on full display as she hits the road to play cities in the US and UK, dancing with fans along the way.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Australia, Jessica Anne Newham, a.k.a. Betty Who, became involved in music at a very young age, training in classical cello at four years old and teaching herself piano and guitar. During her college years she adopted the moniker Betty Who and began working with Peter Thomas, a producer who helped her develop her unique music style. She released her '80s-inspired breakout single "Somebody Loves You" in 2012, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart and earning a spot on TIME Magazine's list of 14 Musical Acts To Watch in 2014. She topped the charts once again with 2014's Slow Dancing EP, proving she's an act on the rise with a unique sound that's been praised by critics and fans alike. Betty's dance pop will have fans ready to party as she heads out on a fun-filled tour, sharing upbeat tracks from her highly acclaimed EPs.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Betty Who is amazing...Although her recordings are fantastic, she sounds even better live. I will probably go to all of her shows if she's ever in the area....She's worth it, of course!"

"One of the most amazing live pop performers I've heard since Lady Gaga 6 years ago! A must-see!"

"If you love to dance, love great music, and want to leave at the end of the show happy, then follow this pop artist around!"

Artist did not come on until after 10

by BRITTNAY on 3/21/18The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

We traveled to NJ from NYC two hours and Betty did not come on until after we left well after 10pm. The show was advertised as doors at 7 we expected her to go on no later than 830 since we had to take the 945 train back to the city. There were two opening acts that were not advertised when I bought the tickets. This was incredibly disappointing since I love her music and we traveled so far to see her.

This is the 5th time I have seen her on this tour... not huge fan of this venue only for the reason there are a lot of obstructions and hard to see but sounded great!

    Who? Betty Who!

by LGCasual on 2/27/18The Wiltern - Los Angeles

The show Betty Who put on was musically great. Anyone who has heard her records would be impressed. In general the stage lighting was too much and distracted from the show. I was sitting in the balcony and one of the stage lights shined so brightly that it was blinding. i think more conventional lighting would make the experience better. The Wiltern is a great venue. The only problem is that parking now costs more than show tickets.

    Big Things to Come

by 6LukeW on 12/5/14House of Blues - Chicago

I had the opportunity to catch Betty Who at Lollapalooza earlier this summer and pretty much instantly fell in love. So when I saw she was coming back with a tour of her own, I definitely didn't plan to miss. I bought an early entry, meet and greet, ticket. Not only was she genuinely kind and funny, her vocals were perfect. She sang a private, acoustic version of Somebody Loves You for me and roughly 11 others. The was $135, so it really wasn't expensive for everything you received with it. She signed multiple items and took multiple pictures with us. I've met many celebrities because of my former work, and she was one of the nicest. My boyfriend and I got front row and center spots, so we were literally two feet away from her for the entire show. She interacted with fans the entire time, and grabbed my hand a number of times throughout the show. She was focused on making sure the fans were having a good time, and ultimately that's what it's about. Aside from that, her vocals were on point. Her songs are fun and catchy. As well, the slower songs, such as the encore, were heartfelt and passionate. Betty puts everything she has into her performances and it truly shows. I'm a frequent concert goer and she shines out of the many I've been to. I look forward to see where Betty Who goes with her career. I only hope for the best and believe she's one of the next big stars.

by FoolishGrey on 10/16/14Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Betty Who was absolutely amazing. The show was phenomenal. I went on a whim without knowing much about Betty and her music, and had an absolutely amazing time. The show is full of energy and fun. Betty's vocals were on point as well as her dance moves. It's great to see an artist's joy when she is performing...great inclusion of the crowd as well. If she is coming to your town definitely go see her. Bought her album the next day after the concert.

    Excellent live performer.

by JM8700 on 6/20/14House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

The Betty Who concert I attended was very high-energy, pleasant, and it seemed like she and her band members were excited to be there. I could tell they were having a great time and that they wanted the audience to have a fun time, as well. Betty was very confident, her vocals were strong, and she engaged the audience in the entire room. The overall presentation (complete with a custom backdrop and light show) was excellent. Way more than I expected for a 13 dollar ticket in an intimate space. I imagine that the energy and vibe would be even better in a larger setting.
