    No Bears

by MeanieM on 10/7/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

When the show started my grandson asked " where's the bears?" The show consisted of some very talented singers /actors with fury hats with ears and bear feet. This what not what a house full of under 5 years olds came to see. The dialog was fast and again not to the audience. We had to constantly point out to my grandson (who has a couple of dozen Berenstain Bears books), the book that the particular sequence was referencing.

    Super cute for the kids!

    by MeliRiv1 on 10/7/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Although there was no intermission, the actors and storyline kept the audience engaged with their comedic delivery. Great family show overall.

"Dad I'm bored can we please leave"

    by Koolcat02458 on 10/7/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

The title about sums it up. My 4 year old was bored out of her mind and so were we. I did not go in expecting the cast from les miserable but wow. The "costumes" consisted of paw gloves and feet, black nose paint and a set of $8 ears from party city. I mean at least try to look like the characters w some face paint or skillfully crafted mask, something that shows a bit of effort...can't imagine too many kids recognized brother or sister bear. The plot line was also weak....stay away

    Not full costumes

    by DRDR98 on 10/7/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Expected from a an image on event for it to be full costumes. It was just actors with very minimal bear accessories. Was expecting something like Sesame Street live, but instead was more like Sesame Street performed by a high school drama club.

    Too short

    by DWT1 on 10/7/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

It was cute but way too short (about 40 minutes). It started 20 minutes late and ended early. Hardly worth venturing into the city with kids for that.

    Berenstain Bears was great!

by hipgrand on 10/28/10Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

This was a wonderful event for my 4 year old Grandson to attend to begin to appreciate live musical theater. He had read several books, so already was familiar with the theme and the characters. The time was just right, any longer and he would have lost interest. He also enjoyed seeing the other students attending.

    Berenstein Bears

by cabr on 10/28/10Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

We were highly disappointed. Overall the story lines were good & followed the bears book series. However, when the characters came out on the stage the look on our son's face was all telling. Why in the world the actors would not have been in full Berenstein Bears costumes is beyond me. Most of the childrens' age would not have allowed them to see abstractly to know that the actors were supposed to be the actual bear characters w/ the "very lacking" costumes. We're sorry we spent the money and time.
