Absolutely amazing show. Ben Harper, and the band, are hands down the most amazing musical artists I have seen live. It was unreal!
Quality show. Ben always puts on a great show that is well worth the money. They played super long and super hard. If you haven't seen Ben Harper in concert, get to it! You won't regret it!
Ben Harper is by far the most talented musician I have ever had the honor of seeing perform live. He played for 2 hours, and thats not even including a 2nd encore, but I had to miss out because my feet were killing me!!! He did a great mix of old and new, and did a great acustic set that was amazing. I waited THREE years for him to come back to Florida, and it was well worth the wait!
Ben Harper played for almost 3 hours. He did 2 encores, the 1st of which was solo acoustic, and the 2nd of which was almost as long as another set. I go to a lot of concerts, and this was possibly the best concert I've ever been to, definitely in my Top 5 all time. This was the kind of show I'm going to tell my kids about one day....
The show was really amazing. I loved every single part of it. The venue is awesome: not too big, not too small and it made the audience real close to the artist. I had a blast for my first Ben Harper concert.
Ben Harper and the Relentless 7 brought some life to this cow town on Thrusday April 29th, 2010. The show started with a lazy crowd of Jacksonvillians that eventually became a standing ovation rockin out crowd. Ben Harper's cover of Red House was the best I had ever heard and the Relentless 7 really showed their talent throughout the show, especially during the instrumental solos. Ben finished off the show with an amazing acostic set and a heart felt thank you speech to the crowd. I was suprised that the people of Jacksonville could really appreicate and stand up (literally) for such an amazing artist and song writer. Be sure you make it to his next Jacksonville show.
Besides it being 90,000 degrees in the venue, the show was great. They played for 3 hours! AMAZING!
Ben Harper & Relentless 7 put on an amazing show. I would definitely see it again. Great show. Started an hour late but it was worth the wait. Opening act Alberta Cross were great. Never heard of them but love there music now.
this show was rediculas. Alberta Cross was great. Really defferent band with a great sound. I would definatly see them again, and Ben Harper, one of the best live acts ever. Relentless seven proved to be a great band to back him Drummer was sick and Ben is not only a great singer, and musician, but also has a top notch stage presence. Would do this show all over again
Harper and the band played for maybe 2 and half hours; this was truly an awesome show. The show started with "Diamonds on the Inside" and the energy built from there. The balance of slower with faster numbers shaped the night. These four musicians are supremely talented. It's a given BH can play the guitar, yet the lead guitar player may be one of the best I have heard in years live, matched by a solid, steady, creative beat and bass line. I would highly recommend this show to any age--and last night the crowd was diverse and spanned all the age groups.
Ben played for nearly 2 1/5 hours, and the opening act Alberta Cross was excellent as well
Just started listening to Ben Harper about a year ago. Wasn't something I thought I would like, but I thoroughly enjoy the Fight for your Mind disc. My wife really likes him so I got tickets for the show. It's really hard to describe in words, but his performance was amazing. I was totally blown away by the way he seemed to enjoy every minute of playing for us as if he was feeding off the energy from the crowd. It was an unforgettable experience and I will continue to listen and probably get the rest of his albums. I think Relentless 7 kept up well and each had a cool solo. Thanks for a great show Ben. In the top 3 of my all time show list.
Excellent musicians! Excellent instruments quality! Fantastic show overall.
This show was the best shows I have been to this year! The ballads are a little slow but the rest of the show was amazing!
Friends have talked up Mr. Harper for 6 years, to me. Last night was the first show I got to see him perform and my god were those 6 years of hype worth it!! Their heavy groove pushes and pulls your body and faults your heart with accents and break downs that leave you gasping for air. The band is phenomenal, each member has the skills to steal the show any second but they never do. They toss the baton around and do a bit of a showcase but the best moments are when they all fit in the same pocket. Some classics were played, a surprise, and an acute attention was payed to the crowd. Towards the end of the show, after being called back more than once, he took his time to recognize individual fans. You can see this man has a deep appreciation for his fans, any one who goes to his shows will walk away knowing that their devotion is not in vain.
Once again I am amazed that more people haven't caught on to this incredible talent. I feel thankful and blessed to be able to see him in these intimate venues and happy to have introduced some friends to this experience for the first time last night at the House of Blues in Orlando. With his amazing musical talents, you can never go wrong with Ben and the new band seems to be in a funky groove already. Do yourself a favor. Get to a live show. It will stay with you forever. Can't wait to see them again tonight!
Outstanding show. Ben Harper and Relentless 7 know how to put on a live show.
Show was great. Only thing I would change would be to make the vocals a little more audible. The show was very loud and at times could barely hear Ben's voice.
i have never seen a musican with so much love for his fans. ben actually played for the audience instead of to them. he's concert was 3 1/2 hours of pure musical talent. at the end of his 3rd set he was actually calling out people in the croud and thanking them for the love they gave him. my girl friends sister even went home with a drumstick. what a night and what a showmen. thank you ben and the band for what could have been one of the most enjoyable shows i have ever been to!!!
