Behemoth on Tour

The Polish extreme metal band, Behemoth, is on tour and fans are in for a show they will never forget. Fans of Behemoth follow the band for their extremist style and unapologetic black metal mastery. Behemoth will be burning up the stage, quite literally, with their signature giant flames, smoke effects and unusual antics that leave the crowd fired up to a new level. Behemoth got its namesake from a Biblical monster in the Book of Job. The Biblical Behemoth represents primeval chaos, a vibe not spared in any of Behemoth's songs or performances. The band will be touring 18 countries throughout Europe, playing sold-out shows.

Behemoth Live in Concert

Behemoth was formed in 1991 as a trio. The band was originally composed of Adam Nergal Darski (aka Nergal) on guitar/vocals, drummer Zbigniew Robert Promiński (aka Inferno) and bassist/vocalist Tomasz Wróblewski (aka Orion). The trio truly began their career with the release of their fourth demo album, 1994's ...From the Pagan Vastlands. Their first attempts at success were somewhat thwarted; however, with persistent touring and remaking their sound, the band finally signed a record deal with Italy's Avantegarde Music in 1998. Their fourth studio album, 1999's Satanica, was their first real attempt at gaining a strong foothold with their audience. The band encountered some lineup changes during this time, including the departure of original drummer Inferno. Nergal searched for a new drummer who could play as powerfully as Inferno had, but he was unsuccessful. In the year 2000, Inferno returned to the band, with new members Marcin "Novy" Nowak on bass and guitarist Mateusz Maurycy Śmierzchalski (aka Havoc). The band made a change to a new producer during this time as well, signing a deal with Mystic Production. Their followup album, 2000's Thelema.6, gained the band the success they had been looking for and made a name for them as a black death metal behemoth, garnering them worldwide press and media coverage. The band went on to find wild success over the next eight years. In August of 2010, Nergal was diagnosed with Leukemia. His girlfriend, Dorota Rabczewska, offered her bone marrow but was not found to be a match. Fortunately, a donor was found and Nergal eventually made a full recovery and the band went on to produce several more albums. Behemoth were subsequently chosen as a support act for Slipknot on their 2020 European tour. Behemoth's 2022 tour promises to be an unforgettable show, following their 30th anniversary.

  • I Didn't Get Enough

by Chloe M. on 5/1/22Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

I would say this is my first time completely seeing Behemoth, since the actual first time was me arriving late to Knotfest in 2019 and missing a majority of their set. I'm glad I stuck it out and saw them perform live for a full set this time around because THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The only thing that disappointed me was that the set was too short. Maybe take a poncho if you want to be in the front, like I was, so your clothes won't get covered in blood during Chant For Ezkaton LOL

  • Mind Blowing

    by Pharmacyboy101 on 4/21/22Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Behemoth played the best show I HAVE EVER SEEN...The stage presence and overall presentation was mind blowing. Thank you for coming to San Antonio!

  • Behemoth! Always a great show.

The venue was small but accommodating. First time here. I would definitely come back. And we look forward to the next Behemoth show!

  • At the gates and behemoth!!

by Sackary on 11/4/18House of Blues Boston presented by Cricket Wireless - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so brutal at the gates good seeing them again

  • 1st Behemoth Show + meet & greet

by momoramos on 11/2/18The Fillmore Philadelphia presented by Cricket Wireless - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The meet and greet was almost 4 hours before the show but it was so worth it. The band was so friendly, they gave out goodies, we got on stage and had pretty mich a personal concert during their soundcehck. I highly recommend the VIP experience for behemoth in particular. Wolves in the Throne room were cool if you like burzum style stuff. They burn white sage throughout their set that adds to the atmosphere. Overall I thought they were interesting but unsure of the content of the lyrics. At the Gates has been a band I've wanted to see for at least 15 years and they were ok. They played a few from slaughter of the soul and the crowd was into it. Behemoth tore the house down. This was my first time seeing them as well and they came out the gate with costume changes, makeup, smoke machines, and a great set list of old and new. The only thing missing on their American shows is the pyrotechnics but their playing was strong enough to make up for it. They really use everything available to them to trick your eye and offer a well done stage show which a vast majority of bands do not consider. Next time I look forward to seeing them closer and with fire!!! Opener and closer were my favorites for very different reasons.

Behemoth as always puts on a fantastic show no matter the size of the venue.

  • Behemoth is a must see

by Delainy on 11/1/18The Underground - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

The night started with Wolves in the Throne room. If you haven't checked out their music, do it! They were great to hear and I am officially a fan now. Next up was At the Gates and they brought it. They played a variety of songs and all of them had the crowd amped up with their great energy and stage performance. The real treat though was Behemoth. What a show! They are truly a great band with a great performance that will leave you only feeling sad when it is over. I would absolutely see them again without a second thought.

I've been to many shows here, the sound quality is great and has a couple bars inside.

  • Behemoth Was INSANE

by xJesse on 9/7/17EXPRESS Live! - Columbus OhioRating: 5 out of 5

In words to start all of this off they were insane. Touring with Lamb of God and Slayer was a great lineup, unfortunately I didn't get to the venue as quick as I could so I couldn't hear their opening songs but as soon as I showed up you can bet I fought my way to the front. When The Satanist album had come out I was immediately jointed into so many more options of metal music. I'm a newcomer to their music but, I don't see myself disappearing from concerts like this EVER! Everyone was fantastic and I wan't to eventually see when they are HEADLINERS and not openers!

  • Another one

by Puis on 4/27/16Royale Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Behemoth. Every new show is more amazing than the past. Live blasphemy, energy, audience interaction. I really couldn't ask for more.

  • Behemoth ruled!

by MananDed on 4/27/16Royale Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was easy to find and was clean and well maintained. And Myrkur played a good set to a good reception. Behemoth came next and just tore the place a new one.

  • Poor Sound

by Illadelphian on 4/27/16Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 1 out of 5

Myrkur was awesome and sounded great. Behemoth sounded terrible. The mix was way off. I know Behemoth can play. I blame the sound guy.

  • Behemoth, for the win!

by JasonTheAngry on 3/10/15The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Bought tickets to see Cannibal Corpse, as they are one of the original torch bearers for death metal, but was pleased by the rest of the line-up that night. Tribulation was not my style, and really didn't appreciate their music that much. However, Aeon was incredible! Great technicality and stage presence! I hope they return to the States for future tour dates. Cannibal was a little disappointing, in my opinion. It wasn't the tightest show I've ever seen, and there was a lack of connection with the crowd. Despite that, it was still entertaining. Behemoth was far and away the best of the night. Simple, yet atmospheric stage set. Perfect performance from the musical side, and they interacted with the crowd well. Brutal, brutal set! Highly recommended show for those who enjoy death metal.

  • by Ihatemakingnicknames on 3/10/15Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Got to the show pretty late so missed the two opening bands but made it just in time to see Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth. Couldn't see the stage because most people were much taller than me but Cannibal Corpse sounded sick and the energy was amazing (plus my top two favorites were played). After they left stage a bunch of people left and Behemoth came on so I could actually see them on stage and it was just as awesome and such. The ending of their set was so beautiful I could have punched a unicorn. Hope they come back because that would be worth seeing again!

  • Best Shod of My Life

by CannibalCorpseX on 3/10/15Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts of my life. All 4 bands put on excellent performances, especially Cannibal and Behemoth. I will say this though, get to this venue early if you want good parking.

  • Behemoth brings the fire from hell....Hail Nergal!

    by horseman1dawg on 3/9/15Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Great show and great crowd. Wish the headliners had more time on stage.

  • Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth put on a great show!

by Ky1985 on 2/24/15Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Got these tickets for my bf for Valentine's Day. This was his fourth time seeing Cannibal Corpse and second seeing Behemoth. He said it was the best performance he had seen from both. We had a great time!

  • Death/ Extreme metal extravaganza!

by RockHard2012 on 2/24/15Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

First of all, credit goes to this venue and their staff. Well organized, courteous, and an excellent place to see a concert. I will definitely make this a place I CHOOSE to see an event. Crowd was very supportive and enthusiastic about all the bands. Tribvlation and Aeon were strong support and I imagine garnered a few new fans. Cannibal Corpse is at the top of their genre and show no signs of slowing down. Wild pits and crowd surfing aplenty! Behemoth command attention from the minute they arrive on stage and keep it throughout the entire performance. Always professional performance and never leave disappointed. If you like intense music and atmosphere, this is the show to see, feel, and leave thirsty for more!
