Bears in Trees on Tour

Dubbing themselves a "dirtbag boyband," Bears in Trees is setting the stage for a new era of alternative music. Their combination of indie-pop and emo genres blend together to form a unique and fresh sound. Consisting of Callum Litchfield (vocals, ukulele, keyboard), Iain Gillespie (vocals, bass), George Berry (drums), and Nick Peters (guitar), Bears in Trees has toured all across the globe. Their live performances are sure to thrill fans by incorporating a blend of both electric guitar and acoustic sounds that pairs perfectly with vocals that are reminiscent of early 2000s indie-pop.

Bears in Trees Live in Concert

Bears in Trees first emerged onto the music scene with their 2015 collection of songs, Let's Sleep On It. This was followed by their album, Just Five More Minutes (2017), EPs Bits N' Pieces (2017), I See Blue (2019), I Want to Feel Chaotic (2020), Keep Me Safe (2020), and their first full-length studio album, 2021's and everyone else smiled back.

Friends since childhood, Berry, Gillespie, Litchfield, and Peters formed their band in South London in 2014. Each band member brings their own style that attributes to the distinctive sound of their music. Berry is dubbed "the voice of reason" by his peers, often being credited with production of the songs. Gillespie is often described as "the most composed dirtbag" of the group (which is shown in his lyrics). The multi-instrumental Litchfield has a keen ear for catchy hooks, and Peters' self-taught guitar lead to his distinctive alternative sound. The band has stated their musical influences as Fall Out Boy, The Front Bottoms, The Wombats, The 1975, and Walk the Moon. Currently signed to Counter Intuitive Records, Bears in Trees have more than 170,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with their most popular songs being "Ramblings of a Lunatic" and "Good Rhymes for Bad Times," combining for more than 9 million streams.

Best concert I've been to. I didn't realize there were 5 other bands playing as well but now I have some new favorite bands. Also, the sound was perfect. 10/10 experience.

The band was so nice, they shared stories with us and got us to dance and sing along with them. They also had the other bands from the showcase come out with them.

Amazing show, venue was very communicative

by Night on 12/13/22Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre - Somerville

Got there at 2 pm (2.5 hours before doors opened) and there was plenty of space to wait outside, doors were delayed by 10 minutes but someone came outside to tell us. Inside there was clear signage and coat check was fast and easy to deal with, no barricade at the stage but security had everyone leave ~2 feet of space between the crowd and the stage for photographers and venue staff to get through. It was a very long concert but free water was given out between each band. Several bands also came out into the crowd to watch each others’ sets, which was super fun. Sound quality was great and it was really obvious that everyone was having a lot of fun. After the show most of the bands were at their own merch tables, and around half an hour after the show Bears in Trees did an impromptu photo/autograph line for people who hadn’t left. Overall it was a super fun time and I’m really happy that I decided to go.
