  • Not bad for a city music festival.

by Fredbo on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

I guess you can say it is a family oriented event. At any rate the organizers do a good job of making sure patrons' needs are met. Lines get a big long during peak times but not bad compared to many. Lineup was good and most styles of music were available at some point. Weather could not have been better. At my age and in my condition I only wish they would have allowed a folding chair of some sort. No other complaints - and thank you Memphis!

  • Amazing show!!

    by Coffeebean7221 on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

It was good and bad. Getting to see Paramore, Lecrae, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Slash, Of Mice & Men, Rise Against, and Lindsey Sterling was unreal. Food and drinks were a little overpriced but nonetheless it was a great weekend.

  • John Fogerty kicks off 1969 Tour with Son in Tow !

by kplovesmusic on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about the festival was fantastic this year. Mother Nature cooperated fully and the weekend weather was spectacular. The crowds were friendly and very laid back. The Musicians took to the stages on time or early and everyone put on a great show. There was an excellent variety of food and drinks available. It seemed like there were more Companies representing with free offers and free handouts and who doesn't love that! St. Louis drink huggies and Brookstone Chocolates were my favorites. There were a lot of good merchandise booths as well.

  • Seen better

Not as good as past years, best acts in blues tent but they were often drowned out by adjacent stage

  • Deevolution of Beale Street Music Festival

    by Ghlatta3 on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 2 out of 5

The Beale Street Music Festival was changed from being a group of popular superstars (Dave Matthews, Bonnie Raitt, Santana) with multicultural tents scattered over Tom Lee Park for such things like blues, gospel, world music, to now having few superstars (John Fogerty, Lennie Kravitz) and spot lighting continuous blaring grunge rock on a stage in the middle of the park which drowns out everything around it. Unfortunately, the "grunge" stage featured profanity throughout the concert as well, something inappropriate for a festival that supposedly is family friendly. The "blues" tent had such bad acoustics that vocals were incomprehensible - although they had some great rock acts, the few people who I noted came to all 3 days always wore ear plugs in the tent because the sound mixing was cranked up beyond what would be best for an enclosed space. Beer lines were 30 minutes long and there were roving cops everywhere. Steel fencing has cut down the in-and-out traffic to half of what it used to be in years past, resulting in human traffic jams next to the Porta Johns. Few choices for band t-shirts (caps and shirts are almost all Beale Street Festival). Overall it's a sad Deevolution of what used to be a great music festival.

Awesome time as usual! Can't wait for next year! Beal Street music Fest always has something for everyone. Additionally you can't beat the great ticket price...it's always a good time even if there is just one or two artists on your must see list.

  • Would do it again

    by JT248 on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

I attended the three day concert, and it was great. I wish I could have seen more of the artists, but some times conflicted with others so I had to choose who I wanted to really see.

  • Best experience for the price

by capnkarama on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

Other festivals may have much stronger lineups, but Beale Street's lineup is consistently solid, and you can't beat it as far as price is concerned. With three stages to choose from, you will more than likely find someone playing that you will enjoy at all times. The food that is offered is always very good (I recommend Island Noodles for sure), and beer prices are cheaper than what I've seen at other festivals. Overall, this is a great music festival to attend and I would always recommend it to all who are interested.

  • Over-rated

by Probablywontgoagain on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 1 out of 5

First time at this particular festival. The music quality was HORRIBLE. I've seen a few of these artists at other events and at this music fest it was like listening to them through a tin can. I knew most/all of the songs that my bands were playing yet could not identify them until well into the song. BOTTOM LINE: If you care about music quality, don't waste your money. If you just want the music fest atmosphere, go.

  • Sound system in blues tent unforgivably horrible!

by Sheaheila on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 3 out of 5

Weather...Awesome Line up ... Wonderful Vendors... Not bad Sound system at a music festival top priority ...FAILED. Will not punished myself by returning again!

  • Fun event, lots of people

    by bro47024 on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

So much fun seeing lots of bands in one place for a reasonable price!

  • worth it!

by driveallnight on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

This event was very well organized. The performers started exactly on time. The international band from Poland -Myslovitz - was fantastic. I wanted to see more bands at other stages, but four hours before Ed Sheeran was due to perform we were trapped near that stage. SO many fans! They were all very friendly so the gigantic and packed crowd was pleasant. We ate on Beale Street not having faith in the festival food, but it turns out there were many great food choices including vegan. The people tending the drink tents were very friendly. Very pleased with overall with how easeful and friendly this event, with tens of thousands of people, was to spend ten hours of the day.

  • Great way to spend a day - or 3

by Anonymous on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

Lazing in the sun on the banks of the Mississippi, with a cold beer listening to great music - what's not to like? Never mind " . . . all the way from Memphis!" I was all the way from London (England) & - I WILL be back!

  • Not for the faint of heart

by Lickaaaa on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 3 out of 5

This is not a show for anyone over the age of 23. I've been to Memphis in May 3 times and the avg age of the crowd has dropped considerably. They ran out of beer, water, liquor,etc...at different times in different places. The bathroom situations were atrocious. The shows are definitely worth seeing, but I'd rather buy the individual tickets and see them one at a time. Beale Street was still pretty great.

  • by Anonymous on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

There were good headliner but I think there should have been more different types of music besides rock, which most of the bands were.

  • Really Good

by liberatingangel on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 3 out of 5

The bands were amazing. The parking was terrible. The crowds were ridiculous. The amount of marijuana was awful. All in all the bands made up for all the other short comings.

  • Best weekend ever

by CCarson on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

Seriously the most incredible weekend ever. I was able to see many of my favorite bands in a perfect location. Great lineup and great value for only $95. I'll definitely be back and would absolute recommend to a friend.

  • Beale Street Music Fest 2015 was unforgettable!

    by musiclover315 on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

The weather was great, lineup was even better! We enjoyed The Avett Brothers and Hozier most! Discovered some new favorites like In This Moment and Band of Horses.

  • Can't wait for next year!!!!!!!!!

    by SMF528 on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the whole festival! Some of my favorites were Lenny Kravitz & Ed Sheeran. Spin Doctor's were awesome too. Wish I could have seen the Flaming Lips but Kravitz played at the same time. Incredible line-up & can't wait to see who will be there in 2016. Looking forward to it!

  • no free water, lack of trash recepticals

by madsizzler on 5/6/15Tom Lee Park - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

Music and setup is amazing. Very eclectic mix of music. Unlike the typical tours at the festivals surrounding this one. Memphis- you can't quarantine your people with no free available water! Also trash everywhere.
