About

For the past 25 years, Queens-based Bayside has represented a lifestyle, a counterculture, and a deeply-held commitment to integrity and earnestness. At their core, Bayside is a band that has constantly proven that music is not about gimmicks and ephemeral trends, but a timeless reflection of our life and our times. It is through this authentic expression and creative spirit that the band has amassed a cult-following that lives and breathes everything the band creates.

It's a spirit that permeates an impressive and storied discography, including Sirens and Condolences (2004), Bayside (2005), The Walking Wounded (2007) and Shudder (2008). Covering the "Victory Records Years," Bayside grew their reputation as road warriors with their impressive amount of touring. From basements to clubs to Warped Tour, the band led melodious sing-alongs everywhere they went, with fans flocking to Anthony Raneri's personal, yet universal lyrics and story-telling. Fan favorites like "Devotion and Desire" and "Duality" continue to be staples in the bands' live show.

While the band held strong to their punk roots, what set them apart from their peers was their musicianship. Diverse in thought and background, but united in a shared desire for authentic expression and immense musical talent, Bayside continues to push the boundaries of what a Bayside song could be. In the second half of their legendary career, covering the "Wind-Up and Hopeless Records Years," Bayside embraced the heavier and grittier side of themselves, while keeping the anthemic choruses of the earlier years. With Killing Time (2011), Cult (2014), Vacancy (2016), Interrobang (2019), and There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive (2024), the band focused on creating songs that are relevant to people who want substance, rather than being relegated to one genre. In 2023, the band even collaborated with Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills on their rock anthem, "How To Ruin Everything (Patience)" - their first song charting at Sirius XM Octane.

Having toured the world multiple times over, sold thousands of albums, and amassed millions of streams, Bayside has achieved a lot in their storied career. And while many bands would coast on their past success, Bayside has always rejected that premise and continues to prove time and again that the best is yet to come.

All around, just amazing. Bayside has been my favorite band for years so maybe im a bit prejudice when reveiwing but really, they had an amazing show. Anthony sang beautifully, and Nick really worked the crowd. And of course, they looked great playing too! Definstly going to see them whenever they're in my area!

It was a good show, but it was really hard to enjoy the music while your getting pushed around by dumb people trying to start a mosh pit. I did not enjoy getting stepped on and shoved. I don't think Bayside should let people do that at there shows. and if they really want to, at least make them stay in the front for that. I went to the back of the place so I didn't have to be crushed, and they started another one in the back! so all in all, I am going to think twice about going to another Bayside show, and I really do love Bayside....

  • Bayside <3s NY!!

by trinirules on 12/4/10Gramercy Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

it was nice to see Bayside, they played a fantastic show for their home crowd. however, my friend who lives in NJ, got to see SENSES FAIL as the headlining act, which is what i was (mistakenly) under the impression that i was doing too! i was disappointed to have spent more time watching Bayside than Senses Fail. for what it is worth, Senses Fail is amazing and (if you haven't yet) you should def see them live! particularly in the small venues they are currently touring, this is not the first, nor last, time that i will see them! also the blender theater at the garmercy is in a cool area, with a great bartender and i'd def go there again!

  • Great concert!! Senses Fail is awesome

by flipsyde98 on 11/14/10The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I went here mainly to watch Senses Fail, but the other groups were good too. Senses Fail did great. I was a little hesitant on going to the concert at first because many people said they weren't as good live, but this was definitely not the case! They did great, and it was well worth it to drive 2 hours to this concert. Only thing is that the speakers were on a little too loud, as my ears were ringing the rest of the night and all through the next day or two as well.

Senses Fail was great, but they weren't engineered well enough to hear the vocals much. Bayside was amazing and was better engineered.

  • way tooooooo loud!

by swissie on 11/7/10The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 2 out of 5

i was so excited about that concert. then is was too loud! sometimes you could recognize the song during the refrain (if you had luck!) i still love bayside though. i don't think it was their fault!

  • Amazing live show

by pedro4956 on 11/6/10The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The bands were both amazing live. Senses fail with their hard-edged emotional lyrics, and Bayside with their amazing live performance. It was a great show.

this was one of my favorite concerts that i have been too. i want everyone to go to a senses fail concert. they were also very funny

Senses fail and Bayside were amazing. The entire show was too loud. I know it sounds weird to say that a show like this is "too loud," and I'm all for loud, but not at the expense of sound quality. The songs started to sound muddy, not to the point where they were unrecognizable. It still rocks to see a couple of your favorite bands live and they both killed the show despite this one minor oversight.

  • Bayside and Senses Fail rocked

by FunkylilPunkGirl on 11/5/10Wonder Ballroom - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The opening acts could have used some work, they didn't really know how to get the crowd going. Bayside and Senses Fail put on a great show and I would love to go see them again!

The show was absolutely amazing. Hands down, the best night of my life.

  • Title Fight is a band to see!

by titlefight on 11/4/10Wonder Ballroom - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Title Fight played before Bayside. The sound system seemed less than the headline acts cause the vocals were really hard to hear but after checking out their myspace and listening to them more, the freakin jam hard! Bayside was great as usual but when senses Fail came out, almost everyone in the Wonder Ballroom left the show...... not sure why, maybe there was too many high school kids that had to get picked up by their parents or something? anyways i felt like it totally ruined the headline show and disrespected Senses Fail, it almost felt like i was at the battle of the bands in high school with less people watching it! Anyways, i enjoyed it but there wasn't enough people to keep the place alive and going but Title Fight......... WOW check em out! i hope they start playing in Portland more after this visit.

  • Simply amazing.

My knees are bruised and my whole body aches from being front row, against the stage, and in the center and the concert was well worth the battle wounds. I've never been to concerts with so much energy as Bayside and their fans create.
