The musical was fantastic! Music, performers, costumes, props… everything was great. I am just fed up with audience members filming the show. The lady in front of me constantly held up her phone and filmed. Every scene, every time the performers came close to her seating area, her phone came up and she filmed. I basically saw the show through her small cellphone screen. I paid to see the musical, not her cellphone screen. I wish the organizers of shows would ban filming the performances. From now on, I will only go to shows where filming is prohibited and enforced.
The music was great the storyline was just way too out there (couldn't you come up with something better than a Romeo and Juliet theme). Overall probably worth seeing for 50% off tickets but not at full price.
As a fan of Meatloaf's music, I was so excited to see this show, and I wasn't disappointed. The diverse cast was so talented, and the live band was amazing. It is so sad that its residency is being cut short here in Vegas.
The singing and dancing was very good. If you even like the creative songs by Jim Steinman, yowill like this show. The singer who played Strat, had Meatloaf down pat. Travis Cloer, acted great, though he didn't have a Meatloaf voice. A fun show, and tickets are affordable by Las Vegas standards.
I saw the original version of this musical twice and loved it. Unfortunately the Vegas production is significantly abbreviated (cut from a full two act musical to 85 minutes). Some songs have been removed and almost all the non-music parts have been eliminated making it very difficult to follow the story if you aren't already familiar with it. I understand Vegas wants audiences "in and out" but for me it made the experience less enjoyable. The night we attended they struggled with sound for most of the first half. Microphones were cutting in and out. I assume that is not a regular occurrence.
I found it boring and over priced for the quality of the show.
Loved every bit of it. I've seen a lot of Vegas shows, and this has been one of the best. Lots of fun, strong performances, and great music.
I was a little worried because it was a Sunday night performance and because of that it was only about half full. The performers held nothing back and gave it their all! It was funny and heartfelt. In the end the entire audience gave them a well deserved standing ovation. My wife and I would love to see it again.
Enjoyed the music and story line! All the actors did and excellent job! Easy access in and out of theater.
Up front and personable. What a well coordinated show
Lame. Laughed at how poorly it was designed. Music was good.
The plot was utterly unoriginal, but the music was great, and it was an entertaining evening.
The show was really great. The entire cast performed with energetic zeal. There was great dancing, the singing was fantastic. The humor written into the production was perfect. Yes the main characters had great voices, so did all the other players. So much so, that the only thing I left the theater wanting, was more of it. There were multiple storylines intertwined just right. My only wish, was that some of the supporting characters had more time in the production, because when they too were given opportunities to showcase their talent, it was equally as awesome as the main characters.
With sitting up close(front row) and personnel with the performers, I felt I was there ....
love the music, didn't know what to expect, what you get is a lot of youth, none of it wasted. young man that played strat, right on. the voices the dancing everything wonderful. go and be entertained, everyone does a super job
The venue was very nice. It was a smaller venue and seats were comfortable. Not a bad seat in the house! If you like the album Bat Out of Hell, you should like this musical. The singers and dancers did a great job.
I was expecting a good show with the music I loved. It turns out that "good" was an understatement. It was fabulous. The cast did an outstanding job bringing Meatloaf's music to life. I hope it's still running when I go to Vegas next time. KUDOS to all involved in this musical.
It was clear that the majority of the case were understudies when we saw the show. It seemed disjointed, and the leads were not the ones featured in the ads. The voice talent was good, but the choreography was off. Timing between actors was not good. Overall, we paid way too much for the quality of show we received.
Information wasn't very clear on show time. Tickets said 7 pm. Thought that was the door opening time. No where did it say otherwise. We were 10 minutes late. Still had a great time. Excellent musical experience if you're into Meatloaf. I'd definitely see it again. Had me laughing, singing and crying.
