Once my daughter got over the shock of Barney being real, she had a blast
Barney's birthday bash was amazing ! My son loved it he couldnt stop dancing and sing . Its worth every penny. It can get kinda of long for a 2 year old the show is amount a hour and a half .
Barney's live convert was great! My 18 month old daughter enjoyed the show. I wished it lasted a little longer as it went by too quick. It seemed like we had just sat down and it was already the 15 minutes intermission. Also, I think they can turn down the volume as there weren't that much people on the balcony seats anyways.
My three year old loves Barney. This event was so much fun. He wants to go see Barney everyday now. Highly recommended!
Although the set seemed a little boring compared to other Vee productions, I loved that Barney took songs that the kids know & made them more modern (hip hop kind of groove). My son is 3 & had a great time.
My daughter and I had a Blast! We enjoyed the concert, very entertaining!
I was pretty excited to bring my 21 month old to see Barney, as he wakes up singing Barney and Barney is the only thing that calms him down when he is otherwise too worked up. We have the Barney Live Around the World DVD, so we had an expectation that there would be kids singing and something of a set. Barney did have "helpers" to sing and dance, but it was four adults. It made a difference that it wasn't kids, in my opinion. Also, many of the songs were rapped instead of sung. Classic songs, like "Clean Up" had no melody. There were some songs that were sung and our son was really happy and clapped at the end of them (and danced a little during them), but the sound system wasn't that great and he got nothing out of the raps. It was too hard to understand them. Also, there was NO set. Just a big stage with lights outlining it. But nothing creative. All in all, I would pass on this. Not worth even the cheap price.
After waiting a couple years to see Barney in person we enjoyed the show last Saturday. There was a nice mix of music, dancing and fun. There were some classic songs, newer songs and some I was surprised to hear. The singers and dancers that joined Barney on stage were talented and enthusiastic.
My 5 yr old got bored, just them singing around a small circle stage.
This was a great family concert! Only complaint was the speaker system could have been better when they were talking. Otherwise, it was a lot of fun!
My little girl loved the show. Danced the whole time.
Barney was very entertaining. My 2 grandchildren loved it!! Alot of their favorite songs were done and they watched without getting bored!! I do wish the scenery on stage was better. Also, wish Barney and characters could have interacted with the audience off stage more. Also, wish there was a place to take pictures with Barney or one of the characters. We wanted to buy Riff stuffed animal and that is the only one they did not have.
Barney did a great job interacting with all the kids. Going from the front off to both sides of the stage. The dances were awsome to with all the interaction. Thanks Barney and friends.
Barney and his birthday bash was nothing like the commercials shown to get parents to purchase tickets. The venue was kept at an artic temperature which was not condusive to enjoyable viewing. The energy of the characters was lacking and the kids were not up and dancing in the aisles. I was very disappointed.
I thought that Barney's Birthday Bash was a lot of fun. My daughter is 2 years old and loves watching Barney, which made seeing him in person tons of fun for her. The show included songs from the Barney TV show as well as songs every child would know, such as "ABC's", "If You're Happy and You Know It", and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider."
The only complaint I had about the entire show was that Barney & Co kept encouraging kids to "get up and dance" and when they did, the ushers rushed over and made them sit down!
Barney & Friends provided lots of entertainment to our 9 and 2 year olds! They had a blast!
Overall the show was OK. Very few props and most of the music has been turned into rap songs....so my 3 year old was a little confused with that part of it. Not a big rap fan, so I would have preferred to listen to the old music. The meet and greet was a total waste of money. Will never purchase that part again! Only character there was Barney, he did not even speak, and they walked us behind a curtain, took my camera, took a picture with us standing next to the character and ushered us out. He (Barney) did not move at all. My duaghter was waving and talking and so excited and he just stood there. Definately NOT worth the extra $14 !!
My 3 year old and I had lots of fun! She has already asked if we can go again when it comes back!
