  • Music, comedy, and dancing!

by The Good Wife on 7/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Bought tickets to see Barenaked Ladies as a birthday gift for my husband, who has wanted to see them since high school. My husband had the time of his life, and is still talking about the show days later! BNL isn’t my cup of tea, but I enjoyed myself as well. They engaged with the audience, threw in some standup comedy, and even impressed with some dance routines. All four band members were great showmen! I’d definitely see them again if my husband wants to see their next tour.

  • Great collaboration with all 3 bands!

by Seashoremtn on 7/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most fun concert I have been to in a long time. The best part was when all 3 bands joined in for a memorable encore.

  • Pure Fun - like only BNL can do!

by JaniceK on 7/22/23Rating: 4 out of 5

A pure joy for lyrics and music emanates from Ed Robertson and crew. Most of the big hits, some eclectic older ones, and the show where it is clear that nothing works without Ed Robertson, front and center. The band still sorely misses Steve Page as the co-lead, as no one could pull off his parts, like he could, and it meant that there were a few songs that just we’re not even attempted. The openers were great, Del Amitri, and Five for Fighting, and the encore was apropos for personality, like Ed Robertson, and just so much fun. I took my 23-year-old daughter, and she spent the whole next day in the car playing Barenaked Ladies. I think that says it all!

  • Fun and entertaining

by Cat on 7/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

We actually went to the show to see Five for Fighting as we are big fans and have seen them numerous times. That said, BNL were excellent as I’d never seen them before. They made their show fun and entertaining. I would go see them again for sure!

  • High energy show

Bare naked ladies put on a great show. High energy and funny jokes.

  • Great Show! Great Venue!

    by Donnie B on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This venue is intimate and allowed me to enjoy my favorite band.

  • Fantastic Show

    by Jen C on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan of BNL since the mid-nineties. This was the first opportunity I had to see them live and they did not disappoint. In my years as a concert goer, I have seen people such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Kiss (behind the scenes), Poison, all hair bands, etc and I can say that BNL was the best concert I have ever been to. Definitely the most fun and engaging. So happy I was able to go.

  • First night out after baby!

by Kelso on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

To whom it may concern, First off I just want to say this could not have been a better suited night out post my wife giving birth! I chose to pick the fun night out over a relaxing day out for our first date back in the game and Bare Naked Ladies did not disappoint! They played all of our favorite songs from the late 90's / early 2000's and some newer stuff we didnt know but instantly loved all the same. I also want to compliment them for touring with Five for Fighting! wow, what a lovely flash back to the past! my wife and I had a amazing and much needed night out. We hope to see Bare Naked Ladies again on the next run around!

  • Great show.

by Jeremytheconcertguy on 7/21/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Enjoy the performance and the venue was clean but food was a little lacking.

  • Overall, a wonderful evening.

by Jenniemac on 7/21/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The evening was great, because of three wonderful musical groups: Del Amitry; Five for Fighting and Barenaked Ladies. Say no more. Food, drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Portsmouth is great, in that it wants people to come "downtown"in the evening, so a myriad of parking options were available - AT NO COST! All within easy walking distance. I took off one star because of the following: I had seating in the Orchestra section, close to the stage. I felt that the folding chairs were a little too closely placed, similar to flying economy - no elbow room, especially if seated next to someone "not petite". Also, people were standing during some of the songs, and there was no ?security, or announcement to have them sit down. Why pay for "up close and personal"seating, if you have to watch the videotrons instead? Oh, well, in the grand scheme of things, if that's my only complaint, well, then.....

  • Great concert!!

by BNL does it again!!! on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Had so much fun at this concert. This is my wife and I second time seeing BNL and they were fantastic!! Del Amitri and 5 for Fighting were also awesome as well. We had such a great time for the 3 hours they played.

  • Best Summer Concert!

by MJ Bailey on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This is the first time going to the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion in Portsmouth, VA, although we've seen them at other venues, previously. We enjoyed the concert immensely- all three bands were great! Barenaked Ladies never disappoint with their energy & charisma. The engagement with the crowd is always fun & leaves you wanting more! Can't wait for their new album to come out in September!

  • It was GREAT!

by Joni on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

St. Augustine Amphitheater is the best place to see anyone hands down! We rode on a bicycle "rickshaw"from our parking spot right to the venue, very fun. Fast and easy entrance, fast drink service and found our seats right away. Del Amitri was playing and they were awesome! Then after a short wait for change of bands, one of our favorite bands, Five for Fighting, came on and they were amazing as usual. Then another short break and Barenaked Ladies were on, they didn't disappoint either! Altogether it was a very fun night, and the weather cooperated, was cooled off from earlier rain, and the sunset was so beautiful. Coming back to see Stephen Marley next month.

  • Music was great...view not so much

    by Jenn D on 7/21/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Concert was great! Barenaked Ladies still plays with the energy that they did 20 years ago & the crowds still love them. The only bad part about the show, which was no reflection on the quality of the entertainment, was the seats. When I purchased them I didn't know that they had a semi-obstructed view due to the VIP box seating. You could only see from the mid-point of the stage to the far right. So the majority of the concert was spent standing in the lawn to be able to actually watch the concert on stage & not on a screen.

  • Fantastic Performances

    by Waltc21 on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Bare Naked Ladies a number of times and are NEVER disappointed! Did not want it to end! I was looking forward to Five for Fighting, his music is close to my heart and he could have been the headliner, he and his band were that good! Del Amitri was no thrown in. They were tight, very entertaining! Thanks to all of them and it is a shame Steve Page is not part of BNL but it is more his loss not ours.

  • Barenaked Ladies never disappoint!

    by Kelly Z on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

These guys put on the BEST SHOW EVER!!!! It's 3 days later, and I'm still on a concert high. Incredibly entertaining- can't wait to see them again!

  • Awesome show!

by Just Jenn on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It was way better than I expected! The collaborations were great, and the venue was perfect!

  • SuperFantastic Experience!

by AD on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Our first time seeing Barenaked Ladies. We are familiar with their music and took this opportunity to see them. They were SuperFantastic! A well oiled group of musicians. The sound and lyrics were spot on. The music was captivating and the surrounding fans knew all the lyrics. You could not help but want to be part of the whole experience. We were amazed by Ed Robertson his vocals blew us away, especially keeping with One Week. The whole band impressed us. When another opportunity arises, we’ll be there. Thank you for an incredible evening of music and entertainment!

  • So fun

by Roland on 7/20/23Rating: 5 out of 5

So many fans know the songs by heart. The Bare Naked Ladies band really delivers. I'm a fan now too. This concert also had Del Emitti and Five for Fighting. Each band acknowledged the other which created a sense of goodwill. The Saint Augustine Amphitheater venue is beautiful.

  • Great Show

by Birdman on 7/20/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Let's be clear. This isn't the same BNL from the early to late '90s. And there are those that will argue that their new music isn't as good as it was with Steven Page/back in the day. Fine. But they are still one of the best, fun, live bands on the planet. Yes, they've aged. Yes, they throw in some new songs that you may never have heard (and do it openly with typical, self depreciating BNL humor). But dollar for dollar, they give you your money's worth. As they'll tell you, you can either break the bank or more likely, not get a ticket to see Taylor Swift, or you can get one of the many affordable and available tickets to see BNL. The show was great. In addition to the aforementioned new songs, they played most of their hits, and even threw in some gems that they haven't played live since the very early 1990s ("Blame it on the Rain"and "Hello City"). There was Ed's rap and stream of conscious musical interlude about a pre-show Pinball championship that apparently took place. There was a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot and musical medley, and a show stopping Def Leppard cover during the encore. The opening bands were all great, and joined the band on stage a couple of times as well.
