Banda el Recodo -- the group's full name is Banda Sinaloense el Recodo de Don Cruz Lizarraga -- celebrated their 75th anniversary in 2013, and the Mexican Banda group hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. During the landmark year, the ever-evolving band -- believed to be the first Banda act to release a commercial recording -- was awarded with the Musical Legacy Award at the Billboard Mexican Music Awards.
Banda el Recodo was founded by clarinetist Cruz Lizarraga in 1938, and he remained the bandleader until he died of cancer in 1995. The group is still in the Lizarraga family, however, and counts four of his sons among its members. Banda el Recodo still tours regularly -- often playing in the United States -- with a huge lineup of musicians playing clarinets, trombones, trumpets, tuba, and various percussion instruments, along with vocalists. Fans who buy tickets to a Banda el Recodo concert can expect a wide range of styles representing the massive swaths of musical ground -- including Latin, big band, jazz and classical -- they've covered over their hundreds of recordings.

I was so happy that day, is a excellent experience,I recommend.
The concert it was awesome. It was good experience good service and really coordinate it. Thanks.
It was awesome and I enjoyed Banda record hope to see them again at Paso Robles
I was surprised on how good the band was. Not my kind of music but once I was there I was very impressed on how good it sounded and so professional.
Overall the show was great! The music was at the right volume without sounding to deafening or too echo. My one complaint is the order in which the show began. The order went Morros, Machos, Primevera, and finally Recodo. However, While Primavera is a great group with beautiful music, it just took the energy out of the room that was built by the previous two groups. In my opinion, Primavera should go first followed by Morros and Machos so by the time Recodo hits the stage, the crowd could be alive!! ALSO, Food extremely expensive so make sure you eat prior to attending and save yourself some money.
Amazing banda el Recodo y Maríachi Vargas they performed amazing.
Banda el recodo has the best musicians the throwback instrumental mini show was very nice, the only thing was that the mariachi took over too much time of the Banda and made the concert unfavorable
The whole concert was so good!! The sound was awesome!!! It was an amazing experience!
I finally was able to make this dream come true of seeing la banda el recodo in person!!!! They did not disappoint!!
