The ballet was filled with a great Mariachi band and excellent dancers with beautiful colored costumes. It was a lil bit of Mexico. My sister in-law went and she is from Mexico and said that it reminded her so much of Mexico that she actually got homesick. It was full of great amazing songs and overall was just a great performance, I would definitely go see it again when it is back in town!
Absolutely outstanding. 2 rows from the front. Great costumes , story line, a large mexican band with lots of instruments and great music. It was clear that there was a lot of influence of different dance styles from many parts of the world. It was a story line that was told through the choreography from beginning to end. Nice flow, set and costume changes. The dancing was great and precise. Some was danced barefoot, some in ballet slippers and some in shoes and boots ( some flemenco style stomps etc.) Highly recommended when it comes to your town.
It was a great spectacular evening with the Ballet Folklorico De Mexico. Great Performance! Beautiful colored costumes and dresses! Dancers and Musicians did a great job. I saw it 20 years ago in the “Bellas Artes” theater in Mexico City but I enjoined it the same in Detroit. They only should do a little more advertising. Viva Mexico!
I had seen this performance while I was in Mexico City 2 years ago. I was so captivated by the performance that when it appeared on your web site I immediately made the reservation. The reservation was made on September 14, 2009. That is an indication that I wanted to see the performance again.
The first and the last 30 min were great and entertaining. However, the middle part was kind of boring, and it wasn't clear what are the themes of the dances.
Great show, really enjoyed. Hope they come back sometime.
To anybody out there that is into Mexican Culture, this is the show to see. It will show you what the mexican culture is all obout. And if you are mexican you will feel so proud after you see it.
Colorful, full of energy, amazing customes . . . time went by very fast due to an engaging series of entertaining folkloric dances.
My wife and my daughter attended, here are some of their statements last night: I liked everything! Illumination, choreography, music, sound, environment, length, seating. I also thought it was nice that they asked people from the higher seats to come down to fill out the better seating sections that did not sale. Great experience, I had been trying to go to see it in N.Y. or D.C. It is great that they brought it home!.
Wow, this show was soooooo great! What beautiful costumes and excellent dancing! It was so entertaining. We all loved it. I really hope that this dance group comes back to Raleigh soon and performs again. I left the show smiling and happy.
I saw it first in Guadalajara Mexico in 1972 at the Degollado Theater for about $1. I paid $50 this time and I would pay it again. A wonderful introduction to Mexican culture, and even better if you have lived there! go see it.
The event was very colurful and the music was great! However I think that the event needed more publicity. A lot of my frinds did not know about the event.
Magnificent voices, instrumental performances and dancing. Exceptional energy, color and magnetic joy is projected from the stage. Only weaknesss: the first segment easily misleads and is very inconsistent with the overall feel of the performance. Also, staging is very sparse and amateurish.
I loved it!! The dances were excellent and the costumes were just wonderful!!
I would really recommend this show to everyone. The evening began at 7:30pm and ended at 10pm, the entire time frame was very entertaining.
It was a superb and extraordinary event. Excellent music and dance. Amazing. You will see me again.
The Ballet Folklorico was truly amazing. The variety of dances performed was a great representation of Mexican history and culture. The costumes were spectacular and very colorful. The live mariachi band was a great part of the show.

I did not want it to end. Excellent . I want to see it again and yes I will invite many of my friends for this unforgettable night. It is a night to remember!
