by marbleblue on 3/29/10San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseMy mother had mentioned to me that she wanted to attend the show, so I surprised her and we had a blast! It was our first time going to the Ballet Folk. in San Jose, it was a great show and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in attending. It was unfortunate that there was no dancing because the show made you want to get out of your seat and start to dance.

by greenisgood77 on 3/28/10Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium At Marin Center - San RafaelThe last time I saw this show was in Mexico City when I was a young girl, about 18 years ago. The moment the curtain went up I couldn't stop smiling. I am a US citizen but my dad remains a proud Mexican citizen even though he has lived here for so long. He absolutely loved this show and what it stands for. I love seeing Mexico's history told through such amazing music and the tremendously talented dancers I love this show! It was my first time at this venue too. I liked it a lot. Convenient parking, clean bathrooms, and seems like every seat is a good one ,

by joe1m on 3/26/10Roosevelt High School Auditorium - FresnoThis is a great show for the whole family it basically brings you a little bit of the old Mexico we all remember and unfortunately do not have any more. The customs are great and the dancers are so precise and coordinated. I wish we could have more of these events here in Fresno. Thank-you
Rating: 5 out of 5 Ballet Folklorica Was AMAZING!!
by peacegiver on 3/26/10Roosevelt High School Auditorium - FresnoThe most beautiful display of Mexican culture you will ever see in your life.... The costumes had a life of their own as if they could dance by themselves. Of course the dancers were in them and they brought a world class level of grace and beauty that my eyes feasted on all night long. The musicians breathed the spirit of Mexico into the performance that left one longing for one more dance, one more song and more time spent in the presence of perfection. I sincerely hope they come back every year to Fresno. I missed them so much.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Excellent. A “ Standing Ovation” Performance.
by BellasArtes on 3/12/10Music Hall Center - DetroitBallet Folklorico De Mexico, (Amalia Hernandez founder), is authentic to Mexican folklore, culture, and tradition. Its dedicated and energetic dancers, singers, and musicians represent all regions of Mexico through colorful and energetic choreography. The audience clapped in rhythm, sang along, and became one with the performers. The show ended with a standing ovation, an encore, and a long and heartfelt statement; In unison and without prompting the entire audience prolonged the word “No....” when the show came to an end. Ballet Folklorico de Amalia Hernandez is a must see performance that will never disappoint.
