    Amazing! Unbelievable! Go now!

by StacyB93 on 5/24/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

We were blown away by Topia. Our Valley is so fortunate to have such a talented company in our midst. Ballet Arizona is a treasure - and they evoked the beauty of the desert through their movement. It brought tears to my eyes. The venue - outdoors at the Desert Botanical Garden - is amazing enough but this performance completely changed my perspective and made me appreciate it even more!

    Topia: Mesmerizing!! Food: Disappointing!!

by DiGLH on 5/23/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

All aspects of Topia were magical, beautiful, amazing. I would highly recommend this event. The only (BIG!) disappointment was, after waiting in line for a delicious chicken salad, we were told they were out if chicken. We asked for the same salad, but without chicken. They could still not accommodate. We arrived in a timely manner, so it wasn't as if we showed up late expecting them to have dinners for us. I guess planning just wasn't executed efficiently.

Incredible evening! The weather was perfect and the Desert Botanical Gardens provided an amazing backdrop to the dancers and their fluid movements.

A magical masterpiece in the desert...stunning!!

by Chancers on 5/20/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

Every moment was so brilliant, with the movement of the exquisite dancers, the Papago mountains in the backdrop, and the every changing light -- I was touched by each of the four programs. I was held captive by the beauty and sensation the artistic director and his dancers magically created. It has to be one of the most stunning performances I have ever seen.

Topia, a feast for the eyes and ears

by Bavarianchick on 5/20/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

This has been the 2nd time that I watched this performance. I loved it and will return again next year. First of, the ballet was exquisite. Second, watching it at the Desert Botanical Garden, sitting outside with the moon and stars above and the mountains in the back ground made it even more beautiful.

My second Topia - good stuff.

by Anonymous on 5/19/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

Bleacher seats had great view, was in front of speakers, adjusted to the volume rather quickly and stopped noticing that it was loud. The fluidity of the dance, the panoramic stage, the mountains, the full scene made for a memorable Mother's Day gift from my daughter and family. Thanks Arizona Ballet.

    Topia was beautiful!

by renell on 5/19/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

I often go to the ballet, and Topia was refreshingly different! It was the perfect length of time, the night air was wonderful, and the performance was beautiful as always.

    TOPIA Okay

by themousehouse on 5/17/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

I thought it was good, not great. It had too many things going on at the same time...chaotic and hard to watch. The choreography was so similar on many of the dances, The table seating was okay, not great. There was absolutely no announcement that it was over. Yes, they took bows, but it was short, so many stayed thinking it might be an intermission. I expected more. The lighting was not nearly as exciting as I expected. Overall, it was...OKAY. I wouldn't pay that much again for it.

    Could be better

by nakna on 5/16/13Desert Botanical Garden - Phoenix

In general, performance was good... but could be much better. The thing is that you pay for the ticket, affordable but still quite a bit, and you expect this performance to be worth this money. For the money I paid, I expected something incredible. But the music was not alive (just recorded) and ballet is kind of short. Lights in the dark were good (but again could be brought to something more magnificent), but that alone is not worth the price. The bottom line is: it's worth to see the performance but it is not worth to pay that much for it.

    Ballet Az was awesome!

by Paricia on 3/31/13Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

Ballet Az's Director's Choice was so wonderful to watch. The costumes were fantastic. The dancing very powerful. It was a unique dance of three different dances. The frequent intermissions left the audience moving and not sitting for too long. We enjoyed the breaks. I hope to see something similar very soon. It was a great joy for us to experience.
