awesome tribute band, very close to the real thing
by kiggs on 9/13/09Showcase Live - FoxboroI used to go see Badfish all the time when I lived on the South Shore. When I first became familiar with Sublime's music I was disappointed to learn that lead singer Bradley Nowell was gone and I could never see them play live. Then I discovered Badfish and was impressed with how much they sounded like Sublime and kept the music and energy alive. Their shows are so much fun and are largely made up of Sublime fans who know every word and sing along enthusiastically. I felt a little old as their crowd is getting younger and I doubt many of them remember when Sublime first came on the scene the way I do... but I guess it's great that their music is being carried on by a new generation. I highly recommend Badfish to any fans of Sublime, reggae, ska, hip hop/R&B or just anyone who wants to dance and have some fun! Could've done without the fire alarm and a few of the drunken fans who prompted the cops to enter the crowd too often and at times even interrupt the performance, but I have been to many Badfish events and haven't seen that before so I wouldn't hold them responsible!
