    Best Beer Fest in Nashville!

    by Redhead1111 on 11/8/16Nissan Stadium - Nashville

We attended the Bacon and Beer Classic in Denver earlier this year and discovered that was the BEST BEER FEST EVER so we were excited when we heard they were doing it here in Nashville. We were a little worried that we would be disappointed given the great time we had in Denver. However, the Bacon and Beer Classic did not disappoint! We had so much, tried new beers, and ate so much bacon we actually did something we have never done before....we left early. Now, we didn't leave early cause it was bad we left because we were so full from the bacon and beer. This is hands down the BEST BEER FEST IN NASHVILLE! We have been to A LOT of beer fests and we highly recommend that you attend this one if it comes to your city!

    Needs work

by MAJBear on 11/8/16Nissan Stadium - Nashville

I know it was the first year for this event but for the price there certainly should have been more vendors for food and beer. Some of the food was good but a lot of the food lacked seasoning. It was like they mass produced and forgot the basics. The ice cream from the Tin Roof was awesome though. We went around three times and left after only an hour and a half so definitely not worth the price of VIP tickets. Next year we will wait to see the line up of vendors before spending any money.

Good but could be alot better

by HHSforScottie on 11/8/16Nissan Stadium - Nashville

Wow...I never thought I could OD on bacon, but it happened. It was plentiful and it was good. Also good was the 3 ounce sample glasses. There were so many options that it would have been easy to drink too much. Recommendations: Turn on the TV's in Nissan Stadium. It was game day. Would have been nice to watch a little college football during the event. Hire a country band. It's Nashville after all. I'm sure a band, a really good band would have played for tips. It really would have made the event especially since it was CMA Awards weekend. Where was the water? For sales or for free. If it was there, I didn't see it. It was very much needed to wash down the bacon. Seating. It wasn't until we were getting ready to leave that we found some seats that were open for seating. By then it was too late for us. Where was the wheat beer...and something light for those of us who don't light lagers or IPAs? Here's what worked: The weather was perfect The vendors were very friendly The lines were short The bacon was delicious and the portions were amazingly generous

Bacon and Beer Classic was a Classic

    by matcle76 on 11/8/16Nissan Stadium - Nashville

Got VIP tickets so got in an hour early. Worth every penny. Took 3.5 hrs to get through ever single vender. The food and beer were great, people were fun, great atmosphere. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

A Bacon and Beer Lover's Dream Come True

    by Marie01234 on 11/3/16Soldier Field - Chicago

I've been to two Bacon and Beer Classic events (CitiField and Soldier Field) and they were both unforgettable. Getting to walk the warning track and be in the dugout at CitiField while sampling more beers and beer dishes than you can possibly imagine make this event unlike any other I've been to. Would highly recommend this to foodies of all legal ages!

    Bacon!!!!!! Oh and beer!

by Justinnnnnnnnn on 5/23/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

The VIP was awesome, but possibly an extra half hour for the VIP time would be better. Other than that, it was an amazing time with tons of good food and beer! I'd recommend it to anyone liking either of those.

Hard to Hate a Beer Fest..

by Steve12321 on 4/20/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

Used too small a section of the stadium concourse resulting in overlapping lines for each table, and minimized space to move around the festival. Could have easily spread this festival out and kept lines moving more efficiently. Food lines were longer than beer lines due to food prep, etc. it would have been nice to have a beer and food pairing at each table so you didn't have to sacrifice 10 mins without a beer sample while waiting to get a food sample, then getting in a beer line. All local breweries and eateries which was cool to see. Everything was great except for the logistical issues which really hampered enjoyment and ROI on the entry fee. Most other beer fests focus on the beer while still providing food truck-type options, which allows you to eat when convenient while only really waiting on the beer. The only thing that could have made this successful with the above issues would have been an extra hour+ on the session length.

    Freezing, but Fun!

by HolyCrapWhyCantIPickAName on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

So many great restaurants and beer selections! I had so many varieties of bacon and pork products, but I never got tired of them. Wide selection of beers to choose from and many breweries I've never tried before. I found a few new places I want to try for brunch or dinner and several new breweries I plan to look up in my local store or bars. I won't lie, it was freezing and my hands got dumb at times, but everyone was in good spirits and that helped a lot.

    Over-promised and way under-delivered!

by Baconandbeerclassicreview on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

This was a terrible event for some of the following reasons: - They didn't have as many vendors as they said they would (not only were there less vendors but then a lot didn't show up for the event) - There were not as many games as the promised - They kept selling it as an event at Sports Authority Field with pictures of it being on the field when in reality, it was just in the corridor of the stadium so it could have been anywhere...no need to pay a premium to go here. - It let me download tickets to my phone but then wouldn't accept it and said they would only take paper tickets. Some kind of change in policy without letting me know. - There were long lines for everything. They had bottlenecks everywhere and the people working the events were very unhelpful. - It was freezing and snowing but they didn't do anything to help people warm up. Only the VIP tent had a heater but everybody else which was the vast majority were left to freeze with nothing to help. My girlfriend and I ended up trying to warm our hands up in the bathrooms because at least that had hot water. - It has bacon in the title so you would think there would be a lot of bacon...well there was not. Almost every vendor had super small samples that had a tiny portion of bacon. I felt very cheated after almost every sample except for a couple. - There was very poor communication about the event and we only received information the day before about what was going on. - There was no live music or anything fun really except the bungee cord game. Basically just spent 3 hours walking around standing in line waiting to get a small, over foamy sample. - The people working the event were for the most part not helpful and just wanted to get us a small sample as quickly as possible and move on since the lines were so long. Basically, they over-promised and under-delivered and got away with charging a bunch of money for an event that wasn't really that special, fun, or all that it was hyped up to be. I wish I could get my money back.

    Steep Price

by TheHandsomeBeerSnob on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

I attend many beer festivals throughout the year, some of which include food pairings. The price for this, compared to many others, was steep for what was provided. The food was great and the beer was alright, but the vendors weren't paid enough to bring special brews (so I was told).

Definitely doing this again next year!

by StadiumNeighbor on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

Such a fun event...lots of great food and beer to sample. The weather was unseasonably cold but everyone had a fantastic time. It will be even better next year when the weather cooperates!

Bacon and beer can't go wrong

by Anonymous on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

The girlfriend and I had a great time, there were a ton of vendors and everyone we tried were great. I was a little leary about going because I had heard it's super crowded and you can barely get any food or beer. Luckily it was cold and snowy when we went so I think it was less crowded than it would be if it were nice and sunny. So, we were able to get as much food and beer as we wanted which I feel like it could've been a different story if it were really pleasant outside

    Disappointed in Denver

by asdigfhjasodgfkhj on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

Gotta say it's a horrible venue. Alot of good Brews and foodie delights, but the atmosphere was wrong for this type of event. 20-30 minutes per line per 1oz of beer or food just wasn't what I had expected. It was thoroughly disappointing. I think the vendors should pair-up (beer and bacon) to counter the wait times.

    Terrible Planning

by stevedickerson on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

All said and done, it was terribly planned. 1) Who wants to hang out in the concourse of a stadium? It's concrete and gross. 2) It was FREEZING out. Who schedules an outdoor event in Denver in April? I know it was in the concourse, but there was no heating at all. 3) To few food vendors and they were serving small bite size items. 4) Way to many attendees compared to the number of vendors and breweries. Every booth had a 10 minute line to get a small bite of food or a 2 ounce shot of beer. 5) Way to many people for the venue. It was shoulder to shoulder because everyone is packed into a stadium concourse.

    Great Beer Fest

    Could have been better

by Jon14 on 4/19/16Sports Authority Field At Mile High - Denver

I know the weather came into play, but I get the feeling that most of the vendors backed out early as there was only a handful of different bacon vendors. I'm not happy about the price I payed for this event knowing that most of the vendors left. If it is a case that the vendors did not leave then this event was misrepresented. I was told it would be over 100+ beers to try and 50+ bacon dishes. There was plenty of empty spots were it looked like vendors left.
