B2K In Concert
For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.
Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.
As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.
While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.
Omarion only
Even though it rained for the duration of the concert. It was still good, I’m glad I went.
All the performances was wonderful, I literally lived out my childhood dream this past weekend. Although, I was upset about the rain pouring down, we still turnt up all the rain it was a night to remember and I will cherish forever!
Great concert! I had a walk down memory lane! Everyone sounded great and look the same.
Raz B didn’t show up which sucked. They only performed like 4 songs, Omarion kind of stole the show, can’t really be a B2K concert if he’s going to do that. On top of that it was pouring rain and umbrellas weren’t welcomed. Could of had more fun at the BJCC warm and dry. Overall the concert was straight, I enjoyed pretty Rickey.
The concert was AMAZING! It rain the entire time that’s the only thumbs down part but it was ok because I did it for Lil Saint. I felt like that 14y.o. girl when Omarion came out (I love that man). Yes tears was shed lol but the entire concert made me feel like I was back in the early 2000’s. Wish I could re-live that day again....minus the rain
Despite the inclement weather, the Concert was awesome with a added bonus with surprise guests!
WE WATCHED THEM DO AN AMAZING JOB IN THE RAIN THEY SHOULD MAKE THIS A YEARLY THING!!
I had a blast took me back to the days when I was 15 years old ! Dougie Yang Twins 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I honestly feel like Bobby V could have not came on the tour and maybe bow wow or Sammie. Also Pleasure P looked really uncomfortable (he was too out of shape). I feel like Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd,Chingy, and Mario did a great job!!! I loved the energy they actually put into the show. NOW ....B2K....I'm actually disappointed. I feel like Fizz was high or something cause he really didn't sing, jboog was like the hype man and Omarion kind of like took over as if it was an "O" concert. It upset me that they did a mesh of like 10Secs of all they songs I was upset. Then they could have been performing while they had people trying to do stuff off the U Got Served Movie!!! All I'm saying is alot could have been better. Disappointed Fan 😔
This show was eeeeeeverything I expected it to be AND MORE! Each artist brought their best energy! My inner 15 year old girl is still screaming. Lol B2K ..... I'm so so sooooo ecstatic to see them together again. I finally received closure from that traumatic heartbreak 15 years ago. Way to go guys! GIVE US MORE!
Loved everything about my experience! Wish it could be relived! Thank you Millennium Tour! Perfect piece of old music history preformed in front of my eyes! 💜
Should've started selling tickets sooner. Deserved more exposure and patrons. They ALL did an AMAZING JOB, OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES FROM EACH PERFORMER!!!!!
It was a great show!! I danced throughout the whole concert!
The ONLY good thing about this concert was the Ying Tang twins. Stage set ups were low budget. “Jumbo” screens were small. B2K should not headline this tour. Their performance was lacking. Only giving 5 stars because Ying Yang twins was AMAZING and Pretty Rickey was good!
Nostalgia at its best!! Loved every performer and was funny and kept us entertained in between acts!
Concert was fun but felt that the opening acts had me personally more hyped, turnt and ready to shake some ass. For it to be a concert for B2k and for them to be the final act it should of went out with a bang and been more lit but it was still nice to see the group together hope you guys do more shows in the future
This show was everything I expected and more. The energy was to die for.
This was hands down one of (if not the) best shows I’ve ever been too! I never wanted the night to end! We had a great time and I would 100% do it again if I could!
Greatest experience I ever had. B2k shut it down❤️🗣
I loved every bit of it. Bring them back!! They did so very well
