B2K In Concert
For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.
Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.
As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.
While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.
Omarion only
Really enjoyed myself!!!! From the host to the music was very nice!!!
The show was simply amazing and it was worth the money
I had a nice time but the sitting area was small, no elbow room. Besides that all the artists were great!
I had the best time! I was up dancing most of the night
This show was amazing!! I was on my feet the entire night from beginning to end. Seeing B2K on stage again after so long brought out the inner middle school girl in me!! This show is a must see!!
The order of the lineup, the song choices, the sound quality and the performances all made for an amazing night!! Omg was worth my money and I would go see this same show again ASAP. Loved every bit of it even the host of the show was hilarious and kept us entertained between sets.
The Show Was Soooo much fun ! Me and my girls felt like we were in 2000s all over again watching this concert . Definitely happy with the price of the concert & our seats . Great experience
First off, the show itself was AMAZING. All the performers, especially B2K were great! Its so many acts that you are on your feet almost all night. It was the logistics surrounding the experience that made this review what it is. I bought second row, Meet and Greet seats, that I basically had to share with a gaggle of about 20 other chicks who decided to stand around and in front of us the entire show. If the accommodations were going to be standing room only, then maybe general admission prices should've been charged for the floor seats, but if I'm paying $350 a chair, I shouldnt have to be looking around anyone except the people in the row in front of me or security. The venue size itself was great too, but I was super disappointed that they just let people stand around up front when they clearly had seats elsewhere further back in the venue. Secondly, the promoters that sponsor the Meet and Greet were unorganized and rude. You do NOT get to take personal pics with B2K. They herd you through like cattle in groups of four with the guys so you basically have to share a photo with a bunch of folks you don't know plus B2K. they scream at you "no talking, not touching, no hugging, no cell phone pics, etc". and practically ruin the entire experience itself. Thankfully I had previously met the guys before, but had this been my first time, I would have been uber disappointed. They don't even print the pics for you. You have to get them off some website. Lastly, if you have opportunity to get the "VIP Experience" tix on top of you seat tix, do that. You have opportunity to take your own selfies with B2K, and have them autograph stuff without the waste of time and money that is the Meet and Greet package. It cost me an extra 100 bucks day of the show, but I'm glad I did it, because the moments are irreplaceable. After all, we've waited 16 years for this. My only regret aside from that wack group photo, is that I didn't get the Meet & Greet for Pretty Ricky. They put on a freaking show and I think they had a different promotion group sponsoring them that I'm sure was way more organized and probably more fan-friendly.
The concert was one of the bast i ever attended. Each act brought their own style and flair to the event. B2K looked like they haven’t been gone. They had great chemistry and their show was amazing. I had so much fun and didn’t sit down the whole concert.
This was by far one of the best concerts I have ever been to. It started on time and lasted for hours. Hours of back to back hits definitely make for a great time. I’ll definitely be checking out the show when it’s in another city.
Everyone from start to finish was amazing! This show took me back to my childhood. B2k closed the show in the most amazing way! It was for sure a sing alone tour! Get your tickets now you wont regret it! Even if your seats aren't the best, your guarenteed to have the best time youve ever had at a concert!
The show was wonderful. My only complaint is that the seats were entirely to close together. Concert goer’s were all on top of one another. It was quite uncomfortable so I most likely will not attend another event at eagle bank Arena.
When I tell you this was the greatest show ever omg everyone really outdid themselves i really enjoyed everything made me feel like a teen again
The actual concert portion was great, but the host wasn’t funny & super ghetto. They could did way better than that.
I had a wonderful time..bought back good memories. Lost my voice from screaming so much, love that the show started on time. I would to see shows like this again in the future..especially b2k and this line up of performers. Thank you..
Concert was great just wish we could’ve got more time with the main act of the show but great show all performers were great.
Overall the show was pretty good... the anticipation to see b2k was indeed hyped because their entire performance was DRY. Omarion pushes thru in his (idgaf) mood the entire show! So unexpected ! Huge shoutout to jboog! My man hasn’t lost it ! Overall PRETTY RICKY KILLED THE SHOW, then ying yang twins (w/o the technical difficulties) then Chingy ! Everybody else .......
Ok, so for starters I didn’t like how the only people with a screen are the people on the floor! It made it very hard to keep up with the artist from the side with the screen blocking them & wished we would of had a screen then...than the sound was very muffled at times so it was hard to hear at points!! The artist themselves were great tho!!
Everybody put on a show .... The Ying Yang twins had the show lit ! I would definitely pay to see them again . I’m sad this will probably be the last time seeing B2K perform together 😢. I’ll always be a huge fan 💜💜
I haven't had this much fun at a concert since the scream tours! Floor seats were definitely worth the money. Everyone had great energy and put on a fantastic 4 hour show.
