About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

  • Could’ve been better

by Luhteeshuh on 3/19/19Hampton Coliseum - HamptonRating: 4 out of 5

The opening acts were lit. Ying yang twinz made me sweat my curls out. Watching B2K perform together after all these years was surreal but glad they finally got it together. Felt 15 again. The after party wasn’t what I expected and my experience was not so great.

This Millennium tour exceeded my expectations, all of the artists were amazing, I reminisced on all the songs and danced so much that my feet are still on fire! The crowd was hype, the host Gary Gthang Johnson has us laughing and entertained in between the acts.. A must see show you definitely don’t wanna miss!!

  • Average Show

by Becca on 3/19/19Hampton Coliseum - HamptonRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed parts of this concert. Chingy and Pretty Ricky were great! The microphone seemed off for part of Mario’s performance. I also did not enjoy the host who went around and had audience member sing. Once or twice was okay, but I think he did way too many to where it was annoying and not funny. It took way too long to set up the stage for B2K. Play music during the set up instead of having audience members sing.

  • So much fun! Felt like a teenager again!

    by Kim M. on 3/19/19Hampton Coliseum - HamptonRating: 5 out of 5

All the performers were amazing! They started right on time! The comedian they had hosting was hilarious! I honestly just wish the concert was longer. If they added some little acts in between because it just felt like it flew by! But it was worth every penny! Bring them all back please!!!

  • Great show

by Jasmine on 3/19/19Hampton Coliseum - HamptonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was great. I really enjoyed it. I only wish B2K was on stage a little longer and would have done more than just their hits. Maybe if there were less acts they could have, but either way it was a good time.

  • BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE!!

    by D. D. on 3/19/19Hampton Coliseum - HamptonRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about this concert was absolutely amazing! I DID NOT sit down at once since the whole concert started. I loved the fact it started on time, everybody had a beautiful performance and it was extremely fun. This concert will go down in history for me as the best one I literally enjoyed each and every person that performed. THANK YOU B2K for making this tour happen

Less lip syncing. We came to hear the artist sing but could barley hear them. Slick em could of had shoes on while on the stage
