About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

by Londa on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely amazing show! The concert was approximately 4 hours long with all the great hits that we know and love from the late 90s early Millennium. I didn't sit down all night! Truly an amazing night I will never forget!

    by B on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of this show. The pre-show DJ was a familiar face😏 who did amazing! It had my pumped for the show and every artist showed up with their A-game and I appreciated it. I never got to enjoy these artists perform in my teens and so it took me waaaaay back. I waist B2K performed longer but it was still an event I’ll never forget. Thanks for the experience!

  • Worth The Wait!

by Jaz on 4/30/19Little Caesars Arena - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been a fan of B2K since 2003, so this was the opportunity of a lifetime. Despite he disorganized handling of Meet and Greet passes and our initial event getting pushed until after the show, I was pleased with ALL the acts, amenities and seating. Of course, the Boys did an amazing show! It was also awesome meet them.

  • Taking over for the 99-00s

by Princess on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This is the best concert I've been to. I got to relive my childhood. Every performance was great. Loved that Chi-town legends were brought out.

  • It was AMAZING. Every performer brought their GAME!

    by Quea B on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

It started off with Chingy, then Bobby Valentino, followed by Lloyld, Ying Yang Twins, Pretty Ricky, Mario, and B2K. Let me say, there was NEVER a dull moment. Each performer had the crowd hyped and on their feet. Even the Dj O’Ryan (Omarion’s brother) and the host was energetic and kept us entertained through the set / performer changes. Sooooo worth every penny. The nostalgia that set it was wonderful. 2000s was truly and era. Glad I got to experience the concert

  • Really?

by Shay on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I loved the mix of artists and most were good. But B2K should have shut the show down and they were mediocre at best. So disappointed. It was like a throw together show. They needed to have brought it. And they didn't.

  • The Nostalgia of my teenage years

by Aja on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing show with high energy all the way through. Every artist that got on the stage did an amazing job and kept the energy high. I was reminded of all these hit songs from the early 2000s (even though I still listen TO THIS DAY!!!) I felt like I was back in high school/college. What a time. I had a blast!!

by CLG on 4/30/19Wintrust Arena - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This show was amazing! I enjoyed every act that were on stage! I’ve seen a couple of these singers/groups at the scream tours in the past but this one was by far my favorite! The arena was awesome too. I was in the second section but honestly could see the whole stage and people on stage with no problem! So Thank you all for a great show that I will remember for the rest of my life! ❤️

All the performers did an amazing job. Great energy the entire time. All sung their greatest songs including some new songs or songs from when they first came out as artists. I enjoyed Twista and 3piece as guests in Chicago. One of the best concerts I’ve been to! Mario was my favorite.
