About

Avenged Sevenfold is a heavy metal quintet from Huntington Beach, California that has spent over two decades as one of the genre’s biggest mainstream crossover acts. They’ve earned six certified platinum albums, four Billboard Hot 100-charting singles and nearly three billion YouTube streams. Formed in 1999, the band adopted their stage names M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, The Rev and Synyster Gates ahead of their 2001 debut album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. It wasn’t until the band added bassist Johnny Christ and transitioned to a more progressive metal sound for their 2003 follow-up Waking the Fallen that they began to resemble the uninhibited, creative force that fans recognize today. A7X’s 2005 major label debut City of Evil propelled the band to a wider audience behind the breakout single “Bat Country,” and their 2007 self-titled album built on those gains with a No. 4 debut on the Billboard 200. Following the death of drummer The Rev in 2009, Avenged Sevenfold regrouped for 2010’s Nightmare, which topped the Billboard 200 and hosted their highest Hot 100 hit “Nightmare” as well as the touching tribute “So Far Away,” which became their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. 2013’s Hail to the King also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was followed by 2016’s The Stage, which garnered the band’s first Grammy nomination in the Best Rock Song category for its title track. In 2023, Avenged Sevenfold came roaring back after five years off the road with Life Is but a Dream…

    Awesome for the most part.

    by GloryCat68 on 4/3/24Prudential Center - Newark

Well Avenged Sevenfold were awesome as they always are. They bring it 100 percent. That was my 4th time seeing them. And they just get better. Sullivan King were good also. But Poppy was down right awful. I had to leave my seat and go out to the lobby until she was done. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard and she is all over the place. I mean pick a style of music and stick to it. But it was worth every penny to see A7X .

    Greatest show

by Danny D. on 4/3/24PNC Arena - Raleigh

A7X is so talented it's a real joy to see them back at it. LIBAD is an exceptional album and I'm glad I was able to see them on this tour twice. Finishing up the set with 'Save Me' and then 'Cosmic' was everything I could have ever asked for. Lifelong fan here and I hope to see you guys again soon.

Show was great, concessions were a joke

by Stanley Spadowski on 4/3/24Prudential Center - Newark

Venue was great overall, but I'm not being burned again by paying $19 for a beer and $7 for water.

A good show but weird front runners

by MiniNinja on 4/3/24Prudential Center - Newark

The front runners weren't bad but their genres were different from the main act. Mostly dance and electronic. The bands performance was solid and most of the big hits were played. Notably absent were any songs made in collaboration with COD but Activision may have an iron grip on that which would explain things. I'm removing a star because only the front runner had flamethrowers. They would have been absolutely killer on Hail to the King, Nightmare, and Mattel.

    Awesome Concert

by Aidan Flack on 4/3/24PNC Arena - Raleigh

This was my second time seeing them and they have yet to disappoint me. My friend and I drove 10 hours from Florida to come see them and it was well worth it. My friend who didn't listen to them originally now loves their music after the concert

They Never Fail to Amaze Me

by Tor on 4/3/24Prudential Center - Newark

This band has done nothing but impress me since I was just 11/12 years old. I’m 26 now & this was my 7th time seeing them throughout the years. Their technique, style, and skill continues to improve year after year. It was also extremely refreshing to hear them play a few songs that they hadn’t played live in a long time. When they played Save Me, I literally started crying & pretty much cried until the song was over. I also want to give huge props to their lighting crew, their stage crew, and anyone involved in the visuals for the show. Such a stunning show & just so well executed. I’ll definitely be buying tickets for their next tour in the US, whenever that is!

A7X Great. Poppy & Sullivan King No So Much

    by Nightboat Captain on 4/3/24

I'll start by saying that A7X was great! Sure they use some backing tracks, but what band wants to carry a full orchestra of musicians. From the beginning of the A7X set until the end, the band was on fire. I thought I'd miss the pyro from previous tours, but their use of video is fantastic and mesmerizing. The opening acts, however, were dreadful, and the music that was played in-between acts was strange for a metal concert. I know A7X is trying their best to stay relevant to a young audience, but playing hip-hop and rap at a metal show is a bit odd, and doesn't fit. Sullivan King might be great for a rave, but not at a metal concert. Absolutely no one got into this performance, at least at my show in Knoxville, and Poppy was worse. I looked around the arena and seen only a few people enjoying Poppy's performance. She might be great to some, but not most A7X fans. One more thing, there was only one place in the venue to purchase merchandise, and the line was more than 400 people deep. It literally wrapped around more than half of the arena.

    Amazing

by SR on 4/3/24Prudential Center - Newark

Great show, the band sounded amazing and had a good setlist. This venue is also easy to get in and out of and navigate in general. I had seats facing the side of the stage, which were somewhat obscured by the screens (as noted on the tickets), but I like these seating sections since they are as close as you can get without being in GA and not all acts have a screen on the side like that. I would definitely see Avenged Sevenfold again and use this arena again.

    Avenged sevenfold

by Sunny on 4/1/24PNC Arena - Raleigh

Seating was crowded, seats very close together and not plus size capable. People kept getting up to get beer and everyone in the row had to stand for them to pass. Seems unsafe in case of emergency. concert in itself was pleasant but missed a lot from people constantly wanting to squeeze by us
