    Busy but fun

by ATXwine123 on 11/8/23Austin Food & Wine Festival at Auditorium Shores - Austin

This was a great festival for November, I’m glad they changed the time of the year to host it. I felt there was more alcohol selections and booths than food, which is fine if you drink. If not, I would not say this festival is for you. The lines did get long for the food booths which leads me to believe there were too many people. But it was a great time, great location, easy to get into the festival itself and everything included and

Move it back to April and add more Saturday food!

by Loved it in April on 11/8/23Austin Food & Wine Festival at Auditorium Shores - Austin

This was best placed in April and not November. Far too many other events competing with it in November (football, Wurstfest and more football). I understand moving it to November once due to Covid but hard to attend both days in the fall for most people. Saturday needed considerably more food! Sunday had great food but Saturday was seriously lacked and heard complaints from many about lack of food. Also, too many tables were out of supplies and closed up with 90 minutes to go. That shouldn’t happen! Also the festival hours have been cut far too short. We felt rushed to see most of it and had no chance to see all of it. 4.5 hrs is not enough time.

Nice event but more of a wine festival than a food one

by Aaron P on 11/8/23Austin Food & Wine Festival at Auditorium Shores - Austin

Lines to get in were ridiculously long but moved relatively quickly. Unfortunately there were very few food booths, most were wine. As such, most of the lines to get food were 30 people deep. By 3pm, many booths had run out of food. Next year, would like to see more food options or at least emphasize this is a wine event and not so much a food one.

    Not enough food

by MikeInAustin on 11/8/23Austin Food & Wine Festival at Auditorium Shores - Austin

It felt like this year, there were a lot less food options than prior years, and a lot more alcohol, instead Also, felt like they added more capacity as it was a lot more crowded.

Not worth the time frame or money

by Cc on 11/8/23Austin Food & Wine Festival at Auditorium Shores - Austin

They shortened the event this year to 1-5. The line was almost a mile long and we were not able to enter the gates until 1:40. Meaning we only had 3 hours to enjoy the event. The food was sparse. Trying to find food after drinking was the most difficult thing. Supply had run out at many of the table by 3:40. The lines were still so long at each table I think we only tried 50% of the vendors. I would go again but not for $200 when I only received half of that.
