    It was better last year

by PhillyCider on 4/8/14Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

I went to the AC beer festival last year and came away thinking it was one of the better beer festivals I had been to. This year there seemed like there was more t-shirt vendors then actual beer vendors. After about 2 hours we hit every booth and decided to call it. I would have serious reservations about going back again.

not worth the money... beer is good but you don't drink $60 worth, and the music isn't anyone I would pay to see. I would go back if it were half the price.

    So Much Fun!!

by KelQt4ITZ on 4/8/14Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

Not my first year at this event, but it definitely was my favorite yet. I was able to see one of my favorite groups, the Dirty Heads, and drinks tons of local and national brews. Perfect Saturday, in my opinion!

    From what I remember...

by elenchanted on 4/8/14Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

I went into the experience knowing that Saves the Day would be the highlight of this event. I was right! Now that isn't to say the other aspects of Beer Fest weren't completely awesome. I was put off by the massive line that I joined about 15 minutes prior to the start time, but I was delighted to hear an announcer commence the ceremony at exactly 7 pm. Everyone was let in at once so it was great fun to see that quantity of people poor into the ginormous empty room. It was a mad dash to fill up the mini mugs that organizers distributed to us on line. I must admit that I drank prior to the event because i knew that we would only be given sample size mugs. I think there were plenty of people there with a similar pre-drink mindset, as well as the typical beer snobs and other emo kids. The more drunk people queued up at the few food stands (they could have used more food options) There was a filed goal kick and a dunk tank (I somehow managed to be the first person to dunk the girl!) for entertainment besides beer. Basically i just drank and ate my excitement. Finally Saves the Day came on at 9:30, and played for a little over an hour. They ROCKED! I was in the front row (as usual) and the crowd was particularly fired up. I think the beer/carbohydrates had something to do with the high energy, but STD sounded just as good as they usually do. There was a mosh pit that i was on the outskirts of; I was definitely roughed up by the end of the set and my ankles are still mad at me. My friends had some qualms about the set list; in particular they played some newer songs that maybe drove some people back to the beer tents away from the stage. Over all, my expectations were met. If your favorite band played a beer festival, wouldn't you go?

AC Beer Fest - Best Place on Earth

by Cadence425 on 4/8/14Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

AC Beer Fest is our favorite day of the year!! There are so many craft beers to sample, lots of delicious food vendors, as well as many local product vendors. They do an amazing job putting this together. This was our second year here and we plan to return every year. There is so much to see and do (and taste) that you will be wishing you went to all 3 sessions! Thank you for an amazing time AC!

    Fabulous lineup!

by Coffee2Beer on 4/7/14Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

This was by far, the best beer festival I have attended, & I've attended quite a few. The lineup was awesome & beers delicious. Crowds were manageable & it was easy to get your taste without waiting long at all. I have only 1 complaint, but to me it was important. Why on earth were there no maps???? Every other festival I have ever gone to gives you a map of the participants & their location. Of all the places I really needed one, AC was it! So how many great craft beers did I miss? I guess I'll never know.

We had VIP tickets. The VIP lounge was fantastic, people were friendly, the gift bag was awesome and the special beer tasting in the lounge was unbelievable. This is defiantly one event that will become an annual must do.

Good event. Lots of different vendors and varying options from most of them. Certainly more than enough beer for anyone too.

    Cold Beer and Horton Heat

by kenbed on 4/9/13Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

I attended the AC Beer & Music Festival for the 5th consecutive year this past Saturday and left feeling it was worth every penny. The crowd was well behaved even with the long lines at some of the more popular vendor booths. The beer tastings covered a very broad spectrum from the Island beers of the St. John Brewers to the ass-kickin' Railbender Ale - Erie Brewing Co. The quality of the bands that have appeared at the beer fest has steadily improved year after year. Saturday afternoon had The Reverend Horton Heat from Dallas, TX. Their music is a mixture of country, surf, punk, big band, swing, and rockabilly, all played loud and energetically. Their 1+ hour set did not disappoint as this trio rocked the crowd The only bad thing about the the whole show is the acoustics of the convention center SUCK.

    Good fest

by FestVet on 4/8/13Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

Pricey... Especially with all the damn the surcharges... But a very good fest overall. One recommendation though would be to put the stage more towards the back. I love live music... But I hardly saw the bands at all as we were usually behind the stage!

AC Beer Fest is so much fun

by LLMO on 4/8/13Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

I went to the 2012 beer fest and had such a great time that when buying tickets for the 2013 beer fest, I went VIP. It was completely worth getting in 30 minutes early, access to beers that the regular admission couldn't taste and an awesome goody bag. I know that I can only go VIP for the future, there is no going back. The only downside to the whole thing are two comments about the venue. 1. The Beer Fest had an app that they pushed everyone to use, but because I couldn't get signal ( I have Verizon) in the majority of the hall sometimes I couldn't use the app when I was actually trying to make a note about a beer. 2. Make more restrooms available to women. Either convert one of the mens to women for the event or somehow let women have access to another restroom on the same level. The three that were open for women had crazy long lines and since its a beer festival, you know people are going to have to go.

by clairemichele on 4/8/13Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

It was my first time going to AC Beer Fest but I am definitely going to be back next year. So many beers,so many things to do... mechanical bull, tarot card reading, mustache rides (a sea saw shaped like a mustache) great music... a all around great time. Also, extremely well organized.

    Great selection

by crafty101 on 4/8/13Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City

I thought the beer selection was fabulous, possibly too many to adequately taste at one event. I don't go to get drunk but to actually sample new kinds of beer. The bands were good but sometimes hard to appreciate with all the people noise. Lines weren't too long and most people on Sat. seemed to have a good time (although most did appear drunk). The event was at a great location. There were not enough female bathrooms (30 min. wait for a short line). They needed to have some additional seating provided for regular entrance people.
