Atlanta Falcons Team History
The Atlanta Falcons joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1966. Since their start, they’ve won six division championships and have appeared in two Super Bowl games (1999 and 2017). The Falcons began play in the former Georgia Dome in 1992, where they defeated all other 31 NFL teams at least once during their time there. In 1998, they had their best season to date, finishing 14-2 and winning the NFC West.
The Falcons played their final match at the Georgia Dome on January 22, 2017, beating the Green Bay Packers 44-21 to win the division title. Upon completion of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Falcons opened their new home with a preseason game in August 2017.

Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Located in Atlanta, the 71,000-capacity Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) opened in 2017. Built as a replacement for the Georgia Dome, Mercedes-Benz Stadium was constructed completely with the fan experience in mind. Wide concourses give fans the ability to freely move around the stadium on any level.
MBS is one of the most sustainable and environmentally-conscious sports venues in the world. After achieving LEED Platinum certification upon completion in 2017, MBS focused on implementing operations to create a zero waste environment. As part of its sustainability initiatives, MBS developed and implemented a variety of green practices, such as water conservation, energy conservation, recycling and compost, alternative transportation, an urban garden, and agriculture programs.
MBS became the first sports and entertainment venue to achieve LEED Zero certification in any category which can only be achieved if a venue has achieved LEED Platinum, and the first Stadium worldwide to achieve official TRUE Platinum certification for zero waste. The diverted materials are reduced, reused, recycled, composted and/or recovered to curb the Stadium's overall environmental footprint.

The Atlanta Falcons’ 2023 regular season kicks off in September at home against NFC South rivals Carolina Panthers. In the final week of the regular season, the Falcons will travel to Caesars Superdome to face another divisional rival, the New Orleans Saints. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

1st football game for my two sons. The really enjoyed the music, fans, food and the arena. We also got to the game maybe a hour before kickoff and they were able to take pictures of the players practicing and warming up.Seat were great as well!
That was my first time at the new stadium and I really enjoyed myself. It was clean and the workers were very helpful when needed.
The tickets I purchased were in the fans only section which was great for energy and experience. The Ticketmaster process was easy and the mobile entry to the stadium was fast. Too bad the Falcons lost but easy ticket experoebce.
This was not my first time at the game but this was my best time. It was my birthday weekend. I enjoyed it a lot, if only my Falcons would have pulled off a Win, it would have been better. But I still love them❤️ The food was really good and affordable- that was a major plus Had a great time, can’t wait to do it again❤️❤️

Attended the 49’ers game in october which was our first ever NFL game attending. I gotta say, even though i’m no where near a falcons fan, the falcons experience did NOT disappoint. It was great, and everytime there was a timeout or whenever they would stop the game (commercials i guess i still dunno.. lol) there was always some kind of entertainment. Food was great, fresh, and the food service was friendly even though the lines were through the roof, it was still somewhat enjoyable to wait. It’s easy to find your seats, and the venue is kept clean ALWAYS no matter what event i’ve been too i’ve never been disappointed. I definitely would recommend, even if you aren’t a falcons fan and they won the game that day so it made it even better. Parking was a breeze to find AND to get back too after the game and there’s sooooooo many places you can park with different prices. We parked @ state farm arena and walked over which is only 3-5 minute walk!!

The stadium was very nice with lower level seats more spacious than I would have thought. A lot of parking options close to the stadium which helped with my 75 yo mother walking. Spent $45 for a private property lot that was only a small block away which was well worth the money when it came to ease of getting right by our seats. The food prices were more than reasonable. Can't find those prices in AZ. Stadium workers were extremely nice without any attitude. Southern hospitality at its finest. Would definitely go see another event at this location if ever in town.
Staff was very friendly, concessions stands were fast moving, and very courteous. Prices were high, paid $8 for a cheeseburger, that I could have got for a $1 at McDonald’s.
Make sure that children are with a adult. My first time a stadium and I had t deal with unruly children to where it got out of hand. I'm a Vietnam veteran and could have hurt them. My Son tried intervention, overall I love the stadium.
Great game. Great seats. Getting out if the area was a driving nightmare. Parking at Cmn was $60. A little high.
Attended the Los Angeles Chargers versus Atlanta Falcons football game at Mercedes Benz arena. I love this venue as this arena has all of the modern amenities and the Falcons do a nice job catering to their fans. The food service was quick and the prices very affordable. The most important thing for me is that I love climate control football. It was very comfortable inside the arena even as it was sunny and humid outside. The other reason I love going to games at Mercedes’ Benz arena is using Marta, the public transportation rail service to get to/ from the game. Train stations are a couple of blocks near the arena. Finally, I saw a great game that was full of excitement and came down to a last second field goal! Great Experience!
Awesome place for football. We sat in the nose bleeds and they were great seats. And the chargers won.

The game was very interactive with the Fans! Entertainment was provided during all the Timeouts. The sound system was exceptional. The employees were very courteous and professional.😉
