  • Fun times

Had a great time at the tournament. All of the volunteers from the shuttle parking lots to those selling food and beer seemed in a great mood and happy to help. Long walk from the drop off spot to the course cant be helped.

  • BILL MURRAY

They need to go back to the old format and bring all the celebrities and more athletes back. Especially Bill Murray

  • The location is the star

by Rac on 2/13/24Pebble Beach Golf Links - Pebble BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This is one of the great areas in the U.S. The tourney has changed in response to the Saudi LIV tour and this event - the former "Crosby"no longer features Hollywood celebrities in the Pro-Am. The amateurs are some athletes and corporate execs, and no one wants to watch then play. But after Friday play anymore, it's just the world's top golfers. The problem that has long plagued this event is weather. The PGA would be foolish to knock this location off its schedule, but it needs to be played in March at the earliest. But man, Pebble Beach in particular is a spectacular venue.

  • Sad changes

by Ljr on 2/8/24Pebble Beach Golf Links - Pebble BeachRating: 1 out of 5

Sorry to say that the changes were not for the better in my opinion. The excitement and fun were not the same, and it seems that the tournament sold out to corporate interests cutting out restaurants and other parts of the tournament from daily ticket holders. After 12 years—it is probably our last.

We have purchased Clint Saloon for the last couple years, we like the location site this year the best.

The greens were stunning. So fun to see the golfers up close. The scenery with the ocean …amazing.

  • Overall, A Good Time

by David on 2/5/24Pebble Beach Golf Links - Pebble BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I have been attending this event for a few years and this year it was definitely different. The field of pros was much better and the really bad amateur celebrities (i.e. comedians) were not in the field. That meant that fewer wankers (i.e. "get in the hole"guys on every single shot) were not there. There were much more sophisticated golf fans and fewer putt putt experts in the crowd. The only thing that was really bad was the transportation back to the parking lot on Friday. They didn't have enough buses and I bet there were 500-600 people standing in line (and in the rain) waiting for buses. This was the first time I had ever experienced a bad travel situation, but it did happen. Overall, a good time though.

  • Pebble Beach Pro Am 2024

by Babe on 2/4/24Pebble Beach Golf Links - Pebble BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Loved everything about Spyglass course. Very laid back atmosphere. The crowd was much smaller than the Links course. We visited Spyglass in the morning and Links at noon. The shuttle between the courses was excellent. The Links course was beautiful with the ocean as its backdrop. Loved the AT&T booth where we were able to take pictures with the trophy. Much more crowded at this course. Too many golf carts on the same path as the walking crowd.

  • How the PGA screw up a great golf tournament!!

I’ve been attending the Crosby/AT&T for over for over 40+ years. This year’s tournament in my opinion a complete disappointment. With non of the celebrities playing in the ProAm. it’s a bunch of rich corporate executives. Yes there were a few sports personalities but they don’t have the panache of the celebrities!! Attendance was dismal and it’s the first time there were no lines at the concession stands. I wonder what the affect of no celebrities had on revenue? I guess it’s about the money and it’s the only way you can get the top golfers to Pebble. I understand the slowness of the tournament but that’s what has made this a go to event for me. The interaction of the players was one of the main reason to attend along with watching golf. I been to all the majors and many golf tournaments but I’m very disappointed with the new format.
