About

For English metalcore act Asking Alexandria, years of extensive touring paid off in 2013 when their third album From Death to Destiny debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. Tapped by Korn as a supporting act on their 2013 tour, Asking Alexandria quickly earned a reputation for their amped up live show, resulting in a series of headlining concerts with Sevendust, All That Remains, and others. The band's touring success in 2013 continued an already-successful run on the road – in 2012, fans clamored for tickets for their sold-out club dates in North America and the U.K., which drew praise for their mosh pit-inducing energy. Asking Alexandria's roots go back to 2003, when guitarist Ben Bruce helmed the group's first incarnation in Dubai. In 2008, Bruce returned home to England and formed an entirely new group, while retaining the Asking Alexandria name. After signing with indie label Sumerian, the band released its debut album Stand Up and Scream in 2009, and followed it up in 2011 with Reckless & Relentless, which peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Asking Alexandria's current lineup includes Bruce, vocalist Danny Worsnop, guitarist Cameron Liddell, bassist Sam Bettley, and drummer James Casells.

For today, all that remains was amazing. However sevendust was awful due to the sound quality and asking Alexandria was also awful.

Asking Alexandria was the best concert I've seen this year by far!

  • Great Show!

I've been to roughly around 40- 45 concerts and this one was hands down the best yet!! Asking Alexandria is my favorite band and I knew they would be phenomenal, but I wasn't expecting the opening bands to be as well. Most of the other concerts I have attended, usually the opening bands weren't too great even very popular well known bands. But the opening bands blew me away with how great they were live! It just got me more hyped to see Asking Alexandria! If you all still have a chance to see them do it!! Do NOT miss out on this PHENOMENAL performance!!

  • Asking Alexandria was freaking amazing!

This show was seriously one of the best shows I have ever been to! I got barricade and was impressed with all the acts. I had a blast (despite missing some parts of the performances because I was being mauled by crowd surfers)!! I also had meet and greet so that just made the experience a whole lot better. Sadly, I sprained both my foot and ankle as the show concluded but that didn't put a dent in my experience, if anything, it made it better!

  • just so amazing!!!!!!

I've seen Asking Alexandria before and was not disappointed at all, but this time, they put on a mediocre show, and didn't really seem like they cared to be there in the first place. I'll be honest, I was kind of bored.

  • Motionless In White was amazing!

Asking Alexandria, White Chapel, and Motionless In White were my favorite to watch, the crowd was definitely pumped up when they came out.

  • All 5 bands sucked really bad!

I can't believe that I and other parents allow their kids to listen to this music. I feel like I sound like my parents when I say that. I consider myself to be up on most modern non mainstream music but in my opinion this is just loud noise with no rhythm or beat. I have been to 100s of concerts and festivals but this was the worst "music" I have ever heard. I should have educated myself a little better first. The venue "The National" is quite amazing and I would love to go back and hear something better.

Amazin night. Love the bands, so much Energy and the staff is always great and helpful. They always make it safe and fun. Just hated that Danny from AA couldn't sing.

  • Very Memorable Night

So I'm not big on Asking Alexandria. I am familiar with some of their songs but the real reason i went was for the main supporting act, As I Lay Dying. The beginning of the concert was a bit of a drag. Attila and I See Stars opened up . Now for Attila, the crowd was rabid, there at least 3 mosh pits at once. Not a fan of their music, but they put on a very energetic show, and they had a lot of fans representing them so the energy in the theater was great. I See Stars was painful to watch. They incorporate a ton on synthesizing, sampling and Dubstep into their music which gets boring after a while. Live crowd, most likely all the 15 year olds that think this garbage constitutes as music. Thankfully their set wasnt that long. They did not fit in at all with this lineup, but then again they replaced Suicide Silence, who tragically lost their lead singer Mitch Lucker. Next was Memphis May Fire, which put on a great performance. I enjoyed listening to them live and they are great live. I give much credit to the lead singer who does screams and high range clean vocal. His transitions are clean and flawless. They got me warmed up and ready for the band i was here to see. As I Lay Dying was next, and there is never anything wrong with an AILD show. Their setlist was great, i believe they did about 2 songs from all their albums, catering to new and old fans alike. had a blast hearing new songs, A Greater Foundation and Cauterize live. I can never say anything wrong about AILD. if they are in a show near you, GO TO IT. Finally was the headlining band Asking Alexandria. Again not big on their music but they earned my respect as a band and as performers last night. They put on an amazing performance. Halfway through their set, a banner for Mitch Lucker was displayed and AA actually left the stage, as a recording of a Suicide Silence song played in honor of him. Although it wasnt the most enjoyable lineup ive been a part of, for some reason, i had a really great night, and this is one of my most memorable concert experiences ever. So i recommend going to the Outbreak tour if it comes near you, you will not regret it... except for I See Stars though. but AILD and AA TOTALLY make up for it.

  • Asking Alexandria IN NYC

by Bonequeesha on 12/11/12Best Buy Theatre - New York CityRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the show! I fell in love with the all vocalists from all the bands. This was my first AA show, sadly Danny wasn't able to perform due to issues with his vocal cords. I thought it was just fantastic the singers/screamers from other bands filled Danny's spot for the AA songs. The songs were great, the crowd's energy made the show more spectacular, to me.

  • Truly amazing
