Was a great feast to watch a legend live it was mesmerizing excellent was worth 12 hrs drive
The program was great. I like Asha Bhosale and she was amazing at the age of 82 years. Talat Aziz was good, but you could tell that he's a gazal singer and not really a Bollywood romantic songs singer. In all, it was a great show. I would recommend it.
The legend turns 82.. and she declared this is going to be her last live performance! We witnessed something exceptional. Seeing Asha tai perform for almost 2 hrs 10 mins, at times non-stop back to back was amazing at this age. There were multiple meltdown moments.. being her last show talking about hemant, kishor, rd burman.. all are gone, she said: "I am a strong woman, I don't know why I can't stop crying today..". She handled herself out of it in seconds and back to full form. She does joke a lot too. It was incredible experience of us!
Puts 1 back in moments of time in your life. you recall the weather that day. The smell of food being prepared. Who you shared that moment with or you might have been alone.
It was a wonderful show, well managed, but could have started on time. It was 15 minutes late.
Asha Bhosle along with the hospitable environment of NJPAC was unforgettable. My family and I are grateful and overwhelmed with joy.
Instead of starting the show at 7:30 it started at 9 and she should have continued it. They should have continued the show at the end for the loss time. Our tickets were about 170 each and 6 of us It wasn't worth out time . We drove from tracy and it was too short . Very disappointed . They were arguing over table seating ! They should have resolved it months before the show !
I was able to witness the versatility of Asha Bhonsle's singing first hand. It was wonderful to watch her live with a wide range of songs in her sweet, melodious and golden voice. She brings life into the audience listening and seeing her.
Asha Bhosle is an icon in the music industry. Still versital and vibrant after all these years....would definately like to see her again.
I am thinking that there is genre called Indian Jazz. What a lovely evening with the Legend. Asha gracefully kept up despite her near approaching age of 80. I was however disappointed in the musicians line where she clearly deserved to be on stage with a larger ensamble with backup singers to fill in the gaps. The drums sound and performance could have enhanced the experience better. Overall her jokes and melody songs were in line with the Jazz festival.
She sang some of her all time hits for around 2 hours...listening to the requests of the audience as well.
Asha is the ultimate showperson. She kicks butt and put to shame people a third of her age
BEST SHOW EVER REALLY WILL KEEP THE SHOW AS REMEMBRANCE OF ASHA JI
It was an awsome performance by Asha Bhosale and Sudesh Bhosale.. Totally loved it...!
it is a great event i had great time and it was very entertaining and amazing show. i would go to this show multiple times.
I came out dissappointed. Asha was good. Sudesh was good too. I think overall presentation lacked excitement. Ending was very abrupt. It was not a gripping performance.
The show was too short (just 2 hours effectively); and the 30-minute dinner break was not required if they planned to wrap up around 10:00. And unfortunately age has caught up with Asha; and she missed out on singing many more RD Burman hits. Did not feel content after the show (unlike the Lata Mangeshkar show 10 years back; that one ran for more than 4 hours).
She is amazing, fabulous stage presence, melodious tone, her voice was like a 16 year old & excellent sense of humor. The auditorium was full & the ambience was great. The song selection was awesome. I wanted more, I hope she comes again to bay area.
Venue was great, Asha Bhosle was amazing at first, but kind of got tired after first hour, there were some lack of coordiantion at stage, Sudesh's performance was solid but short, this was tribute to R.D.Burman, so they chose to sing songs only made by R.D Burman, they were good but selection of other sons after intermission would have been great.
Asha Bhosle's concert at the Flint Center was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It was an R.D. Burman special and Asha sang all the songs she did with R.D. Through out her concert she was sharing the experiences she had working with R.D. and other great musicians like Rafi, Kishore etc. She has a great sense of humor and she is so vivacious.
