About

Dublin-born Ronan Keating originally found fame as part of the hit ‘90s boy band Boyzone. Founded by Louis Walsh, the group achieved unparalleled success all over Europe and were widely touted as Ireland's answer to Take That. With over 25 million records sold, Boyzone released several No. 1 albums and numerous top-selling singles. Two of their albums, A Different Beat and Where We Belong, went straight to the top of the British charts, a feat achieved only by the Beatles and Oasis.

His solo career began in 1999, resulting in nine albums and the smash hit “When You Say Nothing At All,” which was featured in the film Notting Hill and went to No. 1 in many countries. His first platinum-selling album, Ronan, was released in 2000 and produced  hits such as “Life is a Rollercoaster.” In 2002 he released Destination, a collaboration with ex-New Radicals front man Gregg Alexander. It was followed by Turn It On, which included covers of Terence Trent D'Arby's “Let Her Down Easy” and songs co-written with Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue. 10 Years of Hits was released in 2005. In 2006 he released the album Bring You Home.

In 2009 Keating released an album which was dedicated to his late mother, Songs for My Mother. Duets came out in 2010, followed by another album in 2011 which was produced by Burt Bacharach and featured a selection of his songs. Keating's most recent album, Fires, was released in 2012. In 2013 Keating reunited with his former band mates Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch and released the album BZ20 to mark the 20th anniversary of Boyzone. In the album they pay tribute to bandmate Stephen Gately, who died from natural causes at the age of 33.

In addition to his musical career, Keating is known for his work as a television presenter, with his most notable as a judge and mentor on the Australian X Factor. He also works as a campaigner for several cancer charities, including the Marie Keating Foundation, which was named after his mother. Keating has a Guinness World Record for being the only artist to have 30 consecutive top 10 singles in the UK chart. He has performed two sell-out world tours and received numerous awards, including an Ivor Novello for Picture Of You.
