The Dead South have never been about constant reinvention, but about full commitment to their own singular way. With confidence in their sound and style and trust in each other, The Dead South arrive at the cusp of explosive global success in an enviable, and well-earned, position: total autonomy. It doesn't really matter what you call their music - progressive bluegrass, alternative Americana, country, folk and western, what matters is that this is theirs, and people from all different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, languages and ages love it.
True blue right through, The Dead South don't shy away from ruffling traditionalists' feathers from time to time, as they flawlessly execute banjo rolls and lightning-fast mandolin tremolos, 3-part harmonies and songs of classic themes -murder ballads, disloyalty, ghosts and the like, all with a wink and a smile. As they continue their climb to the top, The Dead South have learned an important lesson: If you're going to be outsiders, you'd better be great.
Confirmed by the passion of their Dead South cosplaying fans, who go to concerts in the band's signature look, this four-piece acoustic set from the middle of the Canadian prairies have found their people. Good Company, as they call themselves, is a global community of vastly dissimilar folks who might not see eye to eye, but who stand shoulder to shoulder at the gigs.

From the opening bad to the end of the show, this was a great experience!
What a show, these guys put on a fantastic show. One of the best shows I've seen by this or any other group in quite some time. I would recommend seeing The Dead South at least once, and once you see them you are a fan for life. It be been a fan since 2011 or 2012 but this is the first time I had ever seen them live, and they did not disappoint, from the first song to the encore, a fabulous show. Can't wait to see them again.
They sounded so great live. We enjoyed the show very much. Would defiantly see them again.
The Dead South are really awesome. We saw them before at the same venue. Due to babysitter sickness and no one willing to help out, and not being able to give/sell the tickets to someone else, we had to eat it :(
Loved The Dead South! The show was fantastic and high energy. The sound quality was great. They never disappoint. The Fillmore, Charlotte is a nice venue but I felt a bit overcrowded.
The Dead South never disappoints. This is my 3 rd show for them. It was such a an awesome surprise to get to see the Hooten Hollers for a 2nd time. They are such an impressive group and always put on such a killer performance. Go see them any chance you get!
We had so much fun it was definitely a great show. Dead South did not disappoint nor did the other 2 bands that played. The venue was awesome too.
Great show great sound great light show excellent concert
Soooo good, the lighting, setup, and music were all so well done, it was almost hypnotic!
It was a great show, this a great sounding band. I will go see them again if they come to our area again!
This concert was more than I ever imagined! Great opening bands that were unique and interesting, got everyone moving. I have been wanting to see The Dead South for years, so glad they came to a venue close by and easily accessible. They preformed many new songs but did not leave us hanging without hearing our all time favorites! No one left at the end begging for an encore, we got it! I have to get up at 4:00 AM but didn’t care, they were so great! Loved every minute of it!
Came in only knowing about one of their songs and left a fan of their new material, plus the 2 opening bands! Performance and staging all around were a treat. Highly recommend.
One of the most fun and entertaining shows we have seen in a long time... By far! I continue to smile when I think/talk about it!
All 3 bands were completely Awesome! Would absolutely see Dead South again ! Wish they could come to Erie Pa. Bay front Liberty park!! That would Rock!!!!
I already love this band, but this concert was beyond my dreams. The sound was incredible at the masonic temple, the lights, the stage, everything was great! I will vmbe back to this venue, and any dead south show in the future!
Doors at 7- Showtime 730. First band didn't come out until after 8. There was a long gap before second band and even longer gap before Dead South. When DS finally came out after 10, I was a little disappointed they only played for 1.5 hrs. So, we were there for around 5 hours and heard roughly 3 hours of music. Way too much down time. Show was entertaining but wouldn't pay to see them again
The show was great. The only complaint that I have was the venue, (Temple Live) was really warm. Lots of people and they had the heat cranking.
The Dead South was everything I hoped for and more! I will be sure to see them again!
Great show !!!!! Soooo happy 😊 with their openers!!! Love the Hooten Hallers !!!
