The Dead South have never been about constant reinvention, but about full commitment to their own singular way. True blue right through, The Dead South don't shy away from ruffling traditionalists' feathers from time to time, as they flawlessly execute banjo rolls and lightning-fast mandolin tremolos, 3-part harmonies and songs of classic themes -murder ballads, disloyalty, ghosts and the like, all with a wink and a smile. As they continue their climb to the top, The Dead South have learned an important lesson: If you're going to be outsiders, you'd better be great.
Confirmed by the passion of their Dead South cosplaying fans, who go to concerts in the band's signature look, this four-piece acoustic set from the middle of the Canadian prairies have found their people. Good Company, as they call themselves, is a global community of vastly dissimilar folks who might not see eye to eye, but who stand shoulder to shoulder at the gigs.

I’m normally a hard rock/metal fan but good music is good music and these guys are good. Hard bluegrass with lots of catchy tunes. You’ll start the show off wondering what you are watching and leave a fan for life. One of those bands you can actually listen to the entire albums.

Singer songwriter Danny Oliver was cranked to 11 and the lower end was distorting. The headliner’s sound was brutal with over the top compression that did no justice to their acoustic instruments. It seemed like the sound people thought this was a metal show. The light show was also bizarre and just over the top in spots.

It was our first time seeing them and we could not pass on the opportunity of them playing in our home town. Hands down one of the best shows I've ever been to!

I was hoping that the seating would have been all the way to the stage, and rather than stare at the backside of the standing group, I chose to sit first row of the balcony. The Hootin Hollers were great live. The Cranewives were great as usual. But, The Dead South made my New Year's Eve.

They are good they don't need to be turned up so high. that;s how bad acts compensate for there lack of talent. They don't need to do that.

Again, I had a spare ticket but not find anyone that would have liked to go. Lol, well that was their mistake. The place was packed and the vibe was off the hook . These boys from Regina put on one of the best shows I’ve seen this far.
