Doja Cat on Tour
If you've heard Doja Cat spit her game then you already know what kind of confidence and swagger she brings to her delightfully vulgar and wholly visionary combination of rap, R&B and pop. The Los Angeles star sounds on top of the world whether she's goofing on her viral novelty hit "Mooo!" (in which she pretends to be a cow) or laying down the law for would-be lovers on "Rules": "Said play with my p***y, but don't play with my emotions." All of that style and substance carries over to the stage, where Doja Cat gleefully works the crowd swathed in wigs and clothes that complement her loud and kaleidoscopically shifting vocals. Blessed with the rugged and raw mike skills of a veteran MC, and the high-flying mind of a pop auteur, Doja Cat throws shows that fans and newcomers alike aren't quick to forget.
Doja Cat in Concert
Doja Cat was born Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini to a South African actor (he appeared in the Whoopi Goldberg film Sarafina!) and an accomplished Jewish-American painter. She grew up primarily in the suburbs of Los Angeles, channeling her early desire and talent for performance into dance: tap, ballet, jazz, breakdancing, etcetera. But she discovered music before finishing high school and hasn't looked back. Inspired by her teenage love for marijuana, she named herself Doja Cat and self-released a spacey soul-meets-rap cut called "So High" in 2013. By the end of 2014, she would be signed to RCA, hear that same song on an episode of Empire and drop her debut EP, Purrr!. Boosted by viral challenges along the way, Doja Cat's songs slowly crept into the mainstream as her approach became more polished. Her 2018 full-length Amala zeroed in on a winning combination of unabashed sexuality and unrestrained creativity, while 2019's Hot Pink album, with guest spots by Tyga, Gucci Mane and Smino, showcased an artist whose skill for smart, often hilarious rhyme-spitting had grown in lockstep with her ability to craft unique pop songs powered by hooky melodies.
The concert was the best experience ever that the second concert I’ve ever been to
this was my first concert and it was the best! I absolutely loved it and it was fire. like literal fire. the ice spice thing with her opening was amazing (i got a vid of her shaking ass..) mother, doja, was on point with the concert. the way she sung and danced was amazing. i would definitely recommend and would go again if she were to have one near by again. it was such an icon concert and i cannot wait for s2!!!
This was my first concert ever so I sprung and got VIP front row seats. Completely worth it, doja cats always been my favorite artist and sure it was expensive but you definitely got your moneys worth! She even waved at me, dance with me and sung to me.
For my first concert, this was honestly amazing. The visuals were great and the band was fantastic. Also Doja Cat herself was incredible and she is such an experience to see live. One of the best out there!!
I love Doja! She absolutely killed it on stage I had a blast! The best performance ever! I even enjoyed Ice Spice performance! I would definitely see her perform again.
