The Smashing Pumpkins in Concert
The Smashing Pumpkins have created one of the most acclaimed bodies of work in musical history having sold more than 30 million albums, and won multiple Grammy Awards in the process. The pivotal group's many hits defined the alternative music era and continue to resonate on modern rock radio, influencing a whole new generation. In June 2012, the band released the critically acclaimed album Oceaniavia Martha's Music/EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution. It entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #4; earned the #1 spot on the Independent Albums Chart; and Rolling Stone hailed it as one of the best albums of the year. Formed in Chicago in 1988, they released Gish, their influential and platinum debut in 1991, which was followed by albums including the nine-time platinum Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness and the four-time platinum Siamese Dream, as well as the platinum certified 1998 album Adore which saw a 107-track reissue in 2014.
The band released two albums within a year of each other starting with Monuments to an Elegy, in Dec 2014, followed by Day For Night in 2015 and played some special shows with Mark Stoermer of The Killers and Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine joining The Pumpkins' Billy Corgan and Jeff Schroeder.
Monuments to an Elegy marks the band's eighth studio album and is the follow-up to their 2012 critically acclaimed album Oceania. It entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #4; earned the #1 spot on the Independent Albums Chart; and Rolling Stone hailed it as one of the best albums of the year. A worldwide concert tour in 2012 and 2013 brought the band some of the strongest live reviews of their career and found them blazing new trails on the concert stage, using new technology in video-mapping to create something new and previously unseen.
Monuments to an Elegy was recorded in Chicago with Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder, who's been in the band since 2007.
The Smashing Pumpkins on Tour
The Smashing Pumpkins announced the Rock Invasion 2 tour in 2020 – a sequel to their iconic 1993 Tour that spanned the globe. The nine stop tour kicks off on April 23rd in Louisville, KY and will end in Greensboro, NC on May 8th. This brings the iconic rockers to intimate venues, featuring a heavier rock set of songs spanning the band's entire catalog. The tour features Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha, and Jeff Schroeder alongside bassist Jack Bates.
In addition to the nine Rock Invasion 2 dates, The Smashing Pumpkins headline two festivals – Beale Street Music Festival and Shaky Knees Music Festival – and after the tour concludes, go on to open for Guns N' Roses' 2020 stadium tour for a number of dates in July. They join Guns N' Roses on a select number of dates for their 2020 worldwide stadium tour. Stops in major cities across North America include Philadelphia, PA; Detroit, MI; Toronto, ON; Washington, DC; East Rutherford, NJ; Boston, MA; and Dallas, TX (American Airlines Center).

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Attending this Smashing Pumpkins concert is like stepping into a musical vortex where nostalgia meets innovation. From the very first chord, you know you're in for an experience that transcends mere performance. Billy Corgan's vocals and guitar work were in perfect sync, taking the audience on a sonic journey through the band's iconic discography. The sound was full of energy and was better than the albums because of it. Each song seemed to resonate with everyone, creating a unified atmosphere of admiration and awe. If you haven't seen The Smashing Pumpkins live, you're missing out on a truly unforgettable concert experience.
I enjoyed the show but Stone Temple pilots were supposed to be there and weren't.
The show was immaculate!! The only thing I’d ever recommend to this venue is to be more friendly with food! Tried to get a burger without onions cause I’m allergic and they were not nice about it, said they can’t change it up and that the food would still come in contact with onions either way. For the amount of people there, they should be more than willing for prices to accommodate to allergies!!
A friend and I had lawn seats, but upgraded to 12 row. And very much worth it! Rival Sons were a huge surprise! Excellent band and charismatic. Interpol were interesting. And Smashing Pumpkins were so glad to be there. They brought their A Game for sure! Three bands and all three were different and great!
Show is a 5/5, but please sell some other water than Liquid Death. Water is alive…look into Masaru Emoto experiments. Shame on these venues for only selling unhealthy water!
Great performance! Only downside was the bad weather rolled in! Come back soon!
Kind of a waste of money. Didn't have the experience I wanted that's for sure.
They can still play. Was a fantastic show until they decided to jam doe 10-15 minutes. And then the wrestling stuff wasn’t a highlight. On a good note - I saw them in 2018. It was a better show musically but Billy addressed the crowd for about a minute over the course or more than 2 hours. And no interaction with with the rest of the band. At this show, it looked as if the internal issues had diminished.
Other then my friend already drunk before the show even started I had a blast! Light show was amazing. The atmosphere was cool everyone was very polite at least to me. Smashing pumpkins rocked 🤘 All in all it was a great time! Would definitely see them again in concert. ✌️❤️😁
One of the best live shows ever. I've seen the Pumpkins many times. They always deliver the goods!!
Enjoyed seeing The Smashing Pumpkins! Packed crowd, great atmosphere!
This concert with Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, and Rival Sons was great. Everything at the venue flowed smoothly (other than the crazy amount of time to get out of the parking lot, but that's to be expected). The performances by all 3 bands were also fantastic. I would definitely go back to see Smashing Pumpkins again.
An amazing experience. Highly unexpected to be as good as it was. Interpol was amazing, as well!
Another great show at the Rauoff. It was our 2nd time seeing SP and out of the two, this was my favorite. The opener was ok and interpol was better. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.
The Smashing Pumpkins put on a fantastic show, it was great as was the venue. The opening bands were just ok…..Merchandise was running low due to the last stop on the tour, but other than that, fantastic evening!
Fantastic show. Venue was excellent as always and the band played a great set. Would definitely recommend.
The Venue was fantastic in every way. Great food and drink. Great sound system. Great ambiance. The band put on a fantastic show with an incredible set list.
Beautiful venue, great sound. Bands were excellent. Smashing Pumpkins exceeded our expectations. Fabulous night!
