by LPony on 10/9/18Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleSo I just got home from the Dire Straights Legacy gig and I can only sum it up in one word: AWFUL!!! Total rip-off! I left after the fourth song. They opened with one long sustained note that led you to believe that the “MTV” song was forthcoming but instead became some unrecognizable funeral like dirge I never heard before. The acoustics were terrible, vocal was muddled and despite being billed as seven of the original members appearing, sounded nothing like the tightness you would expect from a group who’s been together since the 80’s!!! Should have known better since the incomparable Mark Knopfler was not in tow. This was like going to see Pearl Jam without Eddie Vedder. If you’re a music purist do not waste your time and money! $80 of my hard earned money I’ll never get back!

Sat and closed my eyes more than once just to listen. Beautiful. As a die-hard Heartbreaker fan, I looked forward to seeing Steve Ferrone on drums. Spectacular, as ever. Highly recommend!

This band has 5 members of the original Dire Straits and the drummer from Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers. Too bad Mark went his way. This is one of my all-time favorites. A small venue for such a big name but that's because Mark is not with them. I believe they will be giving more shows and pleasing the crowds. Don't miss it! We were elated! Even without Mark, this was an amazing show.

by bubbermeisser on 10/7/18Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdalejust the 15 version of sultans of swing was worth ten times the tix price and even without the lead vocalist the gent doing the songs was a real showmen and just loved him...it was a great nite a great venue and a great great band so yes I would do it again tonite if they were back and the seats were super good
