Heart in Concert

Ann Wilson and her younger sister, Nancy Wilson first showed the world that women can rock when their band Heart stormed the charts in the '70s with hits like "Crazy on You," "Magic Man," "Barracuda," ‘Straight On," "Even It Up," "Kick It Out" and so many more.  They continued topping the charts through the ‘80s and into the ‘90s with huge hits like "These Dreams," "Alone," "What About Love," "If Looks Could Kill," "Never," and a string of other hits that showcased the sisters' enormous talents as both musicians and singers. Along the way, Heart sold more than 30 million records, had 21 top 40 hits, sold out arenas worldwide, and had a profound influence on rock music.

In the mid-'90s, Ann and Nancy returned to Seattle and formed The Lovemongers, with long-time collaborator Sue Ennis and performer Frank Cox. After playing a number of sold-out shows in Seattle, Lovemongers cut Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore" for the triple platinum soundtrack from the movie Singles, which was one of Nancy Wilson's first musical collaborations with her husband, filmmaker (and Singles writer/director) Cameron Crowe.  This was followed by their work together on Jerry Maguire, the Grammy and Oscar winning Almost Famous, Vanilla Sky, and Elizabethtown.

After nearly 20 years of working together, each of the Wilson sisters took some time off to start their families and pursue solo projects. Nancy scored films and recorded a solo project, Live from McCabes. She and Cameron became the parents of Billy and Curtis, twin sons now 6 years old.   Ann, now the mother of 14-year-old Marie and 7-year-old Dustin, made her theatrical debut in "Teatro Zinzanni," followed by a stint in the NW production of "Vagina Monologues."  She  also toured the U.S. and Japan with an all-star ensemble company in "Abbey Road: A Tribute to the Beatles."

The sisters reunited as Heart in early 2002, touring extensively to sold-out audiences for three summers, during which time they released a critically acclaimed live concert film on DVD and CD, Heart Alive In Seattle, followed in 2004 by Jupiters Darling, the first new Heart studio album in a decade, produced by Nancy and featuring 15 original songs. Classic Rock magazine hailed Jupiters Darling as a career tour de force, calling it "the only record you need to buy this year."  Television appearances on "The Today Show," "Ellen," "Conan O'Brien," "CMT Crossroads (with Wynonna Judd)", and more followed its release. In December 2005, PBS aired a two-hour SoundStage special, showcasing songs from Jupiters Darling as well as many classic Heart hits, also available on DVD (Koch).

In 2006, Heart returns to the road again, in support of their Love Songs project for Legacy Records, a compilation of Heart hits, some in new versions, and a few brand new recordings of Ann and Nancy's favorite covers including Elton John's "Love Song."  2006 will also mark the release of the first ever solo project by Ann Wilson (Rounder Records).  Produced by Ben Mink (k.d. lang, BareNaked Ladies), the CD is a collection of songs of social conscience.  Several guest artists will lend their performances to this landmark project, including Elton John.

Heart rocked the house 4 sure

    by CrashCrew32 on 4/25/24Enmarket Arena - Savannah

The parking went well , no issues with parking and getting to event, getting inside was good un-eventful went and got some concessions and went to our seats, they were great show started on time , Cheap Trick needed a better sound guy the distortion was bad, along with being covering up the bands voices, not Heart totally knocked it out of the park , 100% great show . looking forward to going to more concerts in the future

    Absolutely Fantastic

by Dana and Laura on 4/25/24Enmarket Arena - Savannah

Probably the best concert we attended. The Wilson sisters outdid themselves and Ann can still belt the songs out as if she was singing for the first time. Cheap Trick also pulled out an award winning set. Sensational concert by both bands!!

    Rock at it's Best

by Lance on 4/25/24Enmarket Arena - Savannah

Ann and Nancy did not let me down. It was a wonderful show. Nancy hit all the notes and Ann can still shred the guitar. There band mates rounded out the show with great sound. They played all the hits plus covered Going to California, and The Ocean 2 of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs. And they KILLED. The Enmarket Arena in Savannah is an outstanding venue and cannot wait to go back The show with Cheap Trick was so good I have already bought tickets to the show in Atlanta May 10th. Well worth the time

    Cheap Trick/Heart concert

by Judy on 4/25/24Enmarket Arena - Savannah

Cheap trick was okay, but Heart blew the roof off! They were fantastic! Heart was on my bucket list of bands I want to see before I die. Now I can check it off my list. I would go see them again if they come to this area!

    Great Show!

by Ken on 4/25/24Enmarket Arena - Savannah

Heart did a great job and exceeded expectations! They've still got it as the band was tight and "spot on."If you like their music like I do, you'll enjoy this show.

    Classic Rock at it’s finest

by Chris T on 4/25/24Enmarket Arena - Savannah

How can you not love a concert with Cheap Trick and Heart. My wife thoroughly enjoyed both bands. It was a treat to have Rob Zander Jr singing one of his dad’s songs. Heart was amazing. Ann Wilson is still the best female rock singer of all time at 73. Nancy can still play as well as ever and their band was phenomenal! Look out for the cover songs. They are exceptional!!

Cheap Trick & Heart: A Great Double BIll

by Frankie D on 4/25/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

I am a huge Cheap Trick fan who has seen them as the main attraction but never as the opening act. They were fantastic, playing mostly "hits"and putting on a performance that is typical Cheap Trick. They are a solid rock band, the best in my opinion. I always liked Heart, especially their earlier songs but also the power ballads that made them a superstar act in the 80s so I expected a professional show but they blew me away. The band was tight, as if they were the original musicians on the albums, and it was great to see Ann Wilson out there singing after a couple of medical issues. She strained a bit to sing all of the lines and hit all of the high notes but she sounded great and I am sure nobody thought that brought down a great show. And Nancy is still Nancy... an amazingly beautiful and talented guitarist.

    Rough start

by Jj on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Ann couldn't find her voice. Then her mic went out. Felt so bad for her. But then, boom! She was back!!! Nancy was great! All together, great concert!

Still got it after all these years

by Skymad on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Heart’s concert was great. Even though they are showing their age, as Ann and Nancy are both in their 70’s, they were still great to see. Ann’s vocals are still strong, but she did struggle some, especially toward the end of the show. Nancy can still play and rock with the best of them. They sang most of all their greatest hits except for All I Want to Do Is Make Love To You which we were disappointed they didn’t do. It is understandable as there is only so much time and so many great songs. It was definitely worth going to see them. I enjoyed the concert.

    Disappointing Concert

by Concert Fans on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Keep in mind that it was the first concert of the tour. Cheap Trick started the concert off. They were pretty good and still rocked but the sound was not good at all. The arena is known for poor sound. Heart was disappointing. Ann’s voice was fading after a few songs. Nancy played well. They tried but maybe time to stop concerts. Ann spoke some lyrics instead of singing. By the end, she wasn’t even singing some words. Maybe the rest of the tour will get better. Big fans of both groups but maybe time to retire.

Great artists who can still rock.

by oldschoolsteve on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

The artists themselves can still do a great job although some age is showing. I don't understand why live concerts have to be so loud and over modulated that you can't understand the words. I realize that this is rock, but it would be much more pleasant if it were toned down just a bit.

    Great show, except...

by Craig732 on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

The show was great; Ann, Nancy, and the band were all awesome. The camera operator at Bon Secours in Greenville was horrible. They stayed focused on Ann most of the show. Should have panned out a little to show both Ann and Nancy instead of just Ann.

Worst Concert experience Ever, Paid or Free

by Wildflowr on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

First, the sound was turned up so LOUD I had to go get earplugs. I can only think that this was to make it difficult to hear that neither Cheap Trick, nor Heart, could sing. In addition, Each group only played 3 recognizable songs from their hayday, which is why the majority of people were there: to hear them sing the songs we loved. Extremely disappointed with these now defunct, acts. I have been to other concerts (with a lot less ticket cost) of older musicians who were still great. Not these two. Both Cheap Trick and Heart were Not Good, At All.

    Awesome show!

by Donna on 4/24/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Loved the setlist, especially the acoustic set. Heart played most of my favorite songs. So glad they're back together! Now if the promoter will bring Def Leppard to Bon Secours! Please!!!
