the kind of funny everyone relates to

by CPOP on 10/16/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

We really had a great time--the venue was awesome and Mike Birbiglia delivers some great, down-to-earth funnies that we all can relate to. Well, maybe not the sleeping bag and mits, but most of the other stuff we can relate to! :) I really appreciate his clean humor too--some comedians cannot get through a joke without multiple profanities or constantly talking about sex. But Mike can deliver a 5-star show without the junk. Can't wait for him to come back through Cincinnati!

    Great Wholesome Comedy

by Eric on 10/16/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

This was an awesome show. It was hilarious, but wholesome at the same time. You don't have to swear to put on a funny show. The Taft Theatre was intimate and inviting. I definitely want to go to another show here.

Bold and fearless. A comedy show about death. Mike killed it.

    Hilarious & thoughtful

by TeeBee on 10/16/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

I’ve listened to Birbiglia for years, and enjoyed his acting roles. First live show for us— thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing! He’s a master at telling great life-experience stories and making them sound spontaneous.

The venue was perfect and Mike was extraordinary! We had seen this show earlier in the year and it was wonderful to watch it grow into what it is now! Bravo!

    9/10

by saadftb on 10/6/22The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

We were treated to a vintage Mike Birbiglia performance of "The Old Man And The Pool" at The Fillmore in Detroit MI. The show had all the elements of an act that we've come to expect of him with Mike expertly weaving a number of seemingly unrelated stories together, leaving the audience in stitches one minute and inducing pin drop silence from the theater the next with another anecdote. Less a traditional stand-up and more a one man show similar to the likes of Chappelle/Hasan Minhaj, it was well worth the price of admission. Highly recommended.

    Such a great show!

by ALM on 10/4/22Bluma Appel Theatre - Toronto

Mike's show was hilarious and also touching. We loved every minute of it...even the moment of silence for the person who held his breath in the pool. It was a fabulous evening with him!

    Great show, decent experience

by H on 10/4/22Bluma Appel Theatre - Toronto

I’ve been a fan of Mike Birbiglia for a few years now and this is the second time seeing him perform live. His performance was great, funny as always, interacting with the crowd while keeping it relevant to his set. The venue was small with long seating rows making it tedious for us who sat at the ends because we had to stand up for everyone who would come in and out of our row. This ultimate took away from the show experience. On top of that, I received an email saying the venue was cashless (only accepted card payments) but when I went to purchase something from the concessions, they had signs saying “cash only.” Lastly, there weren’t many options of snacks at the concession stand. There were only 2 options for chips (smart popcorn and ms Vickie’s) and one chocolate bar (twix) all other options were alcoholic beverages. A little more options would be nice since outdoor food and drinks are not allowed, especially for those who are diet restricted or pregnant like myself.

Fantastic show - he never disappoints!!

by GG on 10/3/22Bluma Appel Theatre - Toronto

Smart, clever, funny and authentic - great storytelling. Even in the quiet/serious moments he is able rise back up and make light of it. It's rare for me to be continuously giggling for a straight 90 minutes. Highly recommend his shows!!! Thanks to Mike for coming to Toronto's Just for Laughs festival! We really appreciate your visit.

Greatest comedian to ever live but Warner theater is no good

by coolpowers on 4/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

So I don't feel that I really need to say much of anything about the absolutely surreal caliber and quality of performance given by Mike Birbiglia himself; because, well, it was the greatest, most enjoyable, hilarious, heart-warming, thought-provoking, and downright incredible experience of my entire life! However, if it was any other comedian, play, or event of any sort that I saw at the Warner Theater that night, I would have left feeling incredibly depressed and as if I had been straight up robbed with a gun to my head. Because while the theater itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and breathtaking - or well at least as nice as any other historic theater I've been in. So really, nothing special, just your average historic theater... But the service/employees, provided/suggested paid parking situation (through ticket booking on liveNation/TicketMaster), event communication and instructions, the $22 "cocktails" that literally had not even a single full shots worth of liquor, the TERRIBLE, uncomfortable and sardine-like packed seats with people on both sides of you literally physically exerting all their weight onto you because no one has anywhere to exist, and everything else about Warner Theater literally made me feel robbed of the greatest night of my life. Because seriously, seriously here, if I had spent that same $200+ that I did to see Mike Birbiglia in even the nearby park outside, it would have been a better venue than Warner Theater. I wouldn't wish an experience at the Warner on my worst enemies. Do yourself a favor and NEVER attend an event there.

    Freedom Plaza concert too loud

by JSW on 4/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

Mike Birbiglia gets 5 stars...but the noise from the Freedom Plaza event taking place outside the Warner Theatre was incredibly loud and often distracting. Next time I see a show advertised at the Warner I will look to see if something is going on outside and skip it if there is something scheduled in Freedom Plaza at the same time.

    Best storyteller!

by Cammy on 4/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

I have watched all his specials on Netflix and I always describe Mike Birbiglia as a great storyteller. Not because his comedy revolves around his actual life experiences, but because it's all woven into a single story. It flows away and then it comes back, and it makes sense, and it makes you laugh. He's absolutely hilarious (which I think is important to note), and his delivery is impeccable. You can hear the laughs during his pauses, in anticipation of what comes next. This show was not different - we drove from NJ to DC to watch it and it was 100% worth it. We had tickets to see Mike in NYC late last year and it was cancelled due to Covid, but we did get to watch Alex Edelman (which was a recommendation in one of the emails) and he was great also. I really have nothing but great things to say. And my Birbigs hoodie looks fire!

    Excellent show

    by M. J. on 4/19/22Warner Theatre - Washington

We from Kentucky to see Mike and we were not disappointed---Mike is the best. Fab storyteller, never vulgar and able to handle an oddball heckler with courtesy.

    I cried tears of laughter

by Rebecca on 4/18/22Warner Theatre - Washington

Mike's comedy is so real and relateble. Almost too much! While this show had some melancholy parts, I remain in awe of his ability to tie everything together hysterically and forge bonds with his audience. Don't miss this tour!

    So Funny

by MikeV on 4/7/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

I really love Mike Birbiglia's comedy. Instead of just joke after joke, the show is a whole story just peppered with extremely funny observations. This one is kinda about his mortality and what he is going to do to stay around for his family for a few more years. Despite the subject matter, it is very, very funny.

    Mike B was Perfect

by Laurren M. on 3/30/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

I hope he comes again! The hall was the perfect size for his act, more preferable than the bigger venues I’ve seen him perform at. Entry to the venue was easy, as was exiting. The hall was clean and enjoyable overall. Come again, Mike!

We laughed for two hours straight! Both comedians knocked it out of the park! Fresh, funny and fairly clean! A really great time!
