What a terrific evening! From the pre-show talk through the entire event. My friend and I enjoyed it all!
Everything about this show was wonderful - the venue, the orchestra was fantastic, the conductor was not only terrific, but a great MC as well....quite personable!! And Melanie Sierra, WOW!!! She brought down the house, what a talent and local as well. Was a wonderful night, just too short!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the concert. The singer was fabulous.
From the enthusiasm of the conductor, the blockbuster voice of solo singer and over 45 piece orchestra performance made for a wonderful evening.
An evening of music and song, not nearly long enough, full of favorites, the program of Broadway ShowStoppers at the Broward Center on April 9th was terrific. The conductor, Pablo Mielgo, is always so talented, warm, engaging and entertaining and this program showed that off. The vocalist, Melanie Sierra, left us speechless by her presence on stage, her physical beauty and especially the loveliness and strength of her voice. It was 90 minutes of joyous engagement with a beautiful, musical world. The orchestra lifted the audience out of their seats and we were all part of a pleasurable cosmic journey without leaving Fort Lauderdale.
First of all the conductor is marvelous. The first violinist is fabulous and with the team. Cello, Harp, Flute , every one is great. Love it!
It was a beautiful performance. The violinist left you goose bumps when he played. He was a very down to earth person who was willing to speak to everyone and take pictures at the meet and greet.
I never cease to be amazed at the level of talent and professionalism of our orchestra.
Very good singers and musicians. The director is a nice guy.
The conductor really connects with the audience. We all sang along on Silent Night (both verses). The talent on that stage is amazing.
Loved the evening but felt that Kayaunee was over miked
This event got everyone in the Holiday Spirit! Pablo Mielgo was having so much fun leading the symphony and the outstanding vocals of Kyaunnee Richardson, and the jovial expressions of Scott Flavin made for an amazing evening. We will be back!!!
Hearing and seeing all those talented musicians was very moving . Everyone playing their instruments together with such precision was a treat!
The Symphony is just what one needs to leave the daily tragic news behind for a few hours. The quality of the musicianship is amazing. The venue is wordl-class.
It was a very nice evening. Symphony of the Americas was great, enjoyable and unforgettable! Thank you!
The performance was stirring and exilerating. Very much appreciated. The software to get ticketed is a nightmare. Kept timing out and not responding to input. When reservations were successfully acknowledged I thought the worst was over, however, when checking my wallet the day before the performance, there were indeed 2 tickets paid for. At the theatre, only one showed up. The staff were exceedingly understanding and helpful and had us seated without delay. Undoubtedly the error may have been at my end, but it should not be easy make a $60 mistakee on your cell phone. The other difficulty we ran into was the lack of street level signage between the parking garage and the Amaturo Theater. This was our first visit after dark and both of us are in our mid 80's and somewhat handicapped. Detailed directions minimizing inclines and staircases would be useful if included in the website.
We loved the concert! A concert with Beethoven's 5th should not be missed. The Symphony of the Americas did a great job. And they had a nice little reception afterwards. With several members of the orchestra at the reception, including the conductor, it was a real treat!
One of the most enjoyable concerts that I’ve been to this year. Great program and a very good orchestra .
The conductor was excellent and the orchestra followed him attentively. Standing ovations thru out !!
Event began on time, orchestra and music very good, but program was too short and almost did not justify the 30-minute drive to and from the venue.
