Very solid set from start to finish. I find the content very relatable, so it was hilarious to me. His material felt very familiar, but new at the same time.
Paramount is a great venue and we got in right away. Once Jim came out we laughed the entire time until the end. I was sceptical because we have seen several Comedy Shows and were not impressed actually walked out early. Jim's delivery and relatable jokes made this a great date night for my husband and I. I would definitely go see him again! Maybe in Vegas??
My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Jim Gaffigan event at the Encore theater. Jim had a 2 hour set that was very funny and entertaining.
The show was incredible! He was pretty much on-time, had a great opener, and had amazing jokes that were very relevant to the current times and audience. Would highly recommend!
Jim is great - funny, relevant, smart, witty. Super delivery while not being raunchy. Go see him…you’ll enjoy it…
Venue was ok. Paid $17 for a can of coke. Comedians were good.
Just hilarious, loved the show!! Had new material about Vegas and I’ve seen his tv shows but hadn’t heard the other material he did.
Had great seats for last minute purchase. Got in early but the show started late, 20 min., which would have been nice to been updated. Opening comic was really good. Then Jim comes out, he starts out slow then gets in rhythm but he went on a bit too long, lost most of the audience. Funny; not hysterical. Makes you smile sometimes chuckle.
Jim has a clean show - his ability to find humor in the mundane is always very enjoyable…
Great show. We’ve seen Jim Gaffigan before and he did not disappoint. However at 6’ 3” the seats were unbearable. No legroom. I usually try for an aisle seat but even then I had to seat sideways with my legs in the aisle. Probably won’t be back to this venue.
Could not have been better - one of the few shows in my lifetime that BEAT all expectations. Lifetime memories of crying from laughing.
ive been a longtime fan of Jim Gaffigan. i was excited to hear that he was making a stop in San Antonio on his new tour. Jim’s comedy style is fantastic and unique. the show was excellent!
Show started about 15 minutes late. The three opening acts were good at best. It was neat that Jim’s son did a short set but you could tell he was nervous. Good job kid! As soon as Jim came on for his set he had the crowd rolling with laughter for the next hour+! Great show!
Jim is hilarious! My husband and I loved the show. Having his son come out was cute, we enjoyed that too. Jim has amazing timing and can pull off topics that others can’t. Although he doesn’t go too far towards offending most of the audience. I could have done without the other two opening acts, one of them was ok, less funny and maybe a bit offensive, his act felt long and repetitive. The other comedian just seemed unprepared.
The show was great, after starting 20 minutes late. The floor seating was cushioned folding chairs that were pushed together so that the sides touched. The AVERAGE adult in San Antonio has a body that fills all that space. My wife and I are average size and sat pressed up against strangers from both sides. At least in a cheap airline seat we get an armrest to physically separate us. Shame on the Frost Bank center for trying to capitalize on floor seating numbers.
Show started 30 minutes late. First comedian was decent but used Vulgar Language on numerous occasions with children in the audience, NOT appreciated or appropriate. Second comedian was less funny and had to use notes to remember his material. Third act was Gaffagans son and he did okay for an 18 yr old kid and then first comedian did more stand up before Gaffagan FINALLY came out. Gaffagan was very funny but did not give us our monies worth. The entire show was only two hours long dividing the time between 4 people with 5 segments... RIDICULOUS! Had expensive front row seats and expected more than this!
Jim Gaffigan was really non-stop laughter. I love to laugh like that. Thank you.
My husband and I really enjoyed our time out seeing Jim Gaffigan and finally using our Christmas present. Jim did a great job and we know he’d appreciate us leaving our kids with my parents to take a night out listening to jokes about how hard it is being a parent.
Jim Gaffigan was hilarious. He continues to be one of the best in the country. Good clean family entertainment. Jim's 18 year old son did a short bit and is clearly following in his fathers footsteps.
He was absolutely hilarious and I’m so glad he didn’t do the sassy voice the entire set or I may have died from disgust… in the back…where no one would have noticed because they were laughing because he was really funny!! First comedy show to attend but he set a high mark. Thanks Jim!!
