    Music saved the show

by HeyMellie on 3/1/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

There were soundboard issues and the lead voices were hard to hear. Overall musically decent, although it's difficult to ruin ABBA's songs. The audience energy eventually went up in time because who can sit still listening to ABBA's music? The worst part of the performance and the reason for the mediocre review is the "choreography"by the women performing as Anni-Frid and Agnetha. If you're too young to have seen ABBA live look up their videos on YouTube. Please watch! ABBA was Europop/Disco, but their movements were more rock and roll and 70's groove. Anni and Agnetha NEVER looked like a cruise ship act. They never did doo-op or bad disco moves. And by the way, disco was never about 1 finger in the air. For godsake, that was one move from one movie!

    The Mania tribute was excellent.

by Big ABBA fans on 3/1/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

We have enjoyed ABBA from the earliest releases in the US. The theatre was sold and the entire audience had a party night.

    ABBA Mania

by Lulu on 3/1/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Except for a brief intermission this show was nonstop music and high energy entertainment enjoyed by a diverse age group of ABBA maniacs ; recommend you see this production if appears in a venue near you

    Good not great

by TN Abba fan on 3/1/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Mania was good not memorable. The last Abba cover band I saw was in Palm Desert at the McCallum and I thought they were much better. Better voices, better stage presence, better song selection. Honestly as much as I enjoy ABBA, I would probably not go see them again. Hopefully Knoxville can attract a better ABBA tribute band next time.

Very campy; weakest tribute I've seen thus far

by JDPRICE74 on 2/29/24The Walker Theatre - Chattanooga

I've now seen at least three (3) ABBA tributes. This one would rank #3 as it's more campy than the others, the singer's voices were okay, but not as strong as needed to fully pay tribute to Agnetha and Frida's voices. Benny and Bjorn's players appear to mime their musical talent as I don't believe the keyboard or guitar were real. The girl's dancing was very "sorority girl at a frat party."It is always good to hear ABBA music, but this is not a show I would go to again.

    Goo tribute band

by JF on 2/26/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

The ABBA tribute band was just that, a tribute band. They sang the songs well, but I wish they would admit who they really are and speak regular. The fake Swedish accent and pretending to be the real ABBA was kind of a turn off. Talk less and sing the songs.

    Nice Evening

by BobL22 on 2/26/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

Mania was better than average and would have scored higher if the sound system was better

    Sound was horrible

by terrible on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

I left at intermission. The guitar player wasn't even playing and sound system was off and you couldn't here them talking and songs didn't sound right

Acoustics were horrible. Band only so so.

by Alvo on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

Voices good but not great. Just below Broadway level. More like cruise ship level. Band only soap. Acoustics awful.

    Acoustics/sound were horrible

by Susieq4 on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

The tribute ABBA band was good (not great, but good). The women had Tremendous energy and were very likable. We were in the first regular row of seats, and the sound was horrible. It was so bad that the couple behind us chose to leave at intermission. It got a bit better as the evening went on.... the solo songs were much better in the sound system. Was this the fault of Johnny Mercer theater? or the tribute band? We've been to many Johnny Mercer productions and this was the worst that we've ever experienced in terms of the sound system. I honestly couldn't tell you how good or bad the singers and musicians were because the sound system was so bad.

    Terrible Accoustics

by deecal on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

The show was totally overplayed. The band was louder than the singing. We were in Row A and we couldn’t understand what they were saying. We were disappointed needless to say! Would not follow this tribute band.😕

    Disappointed

by CVG on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

I saw ABBA at the Johnny Mercer theater in Savannah Georgia. It was very disappointing. The acoustics were awful, the show appeared very amateurish regarding the costumes and choreography. You could not understand what they were saying or the words of the song. Everybody that I spoke to was complaining. I have seen other shows in that same auditorium with out any issues.

    Horrible

by Roz on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

Acoustics in Johnny Mercer theater are dreadful - just noise couldn’t understand any words performers not that great- big waste of money left after 1/2 hour and will Never go back to anything in that venue ever again. Johnny Mercer would be ashamed to have his name on such a venue. Better off listening to ABBA on Alexa.

by ABBA Fan on 2/25/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

The show was phenomenal. My sister and I took our mom as a belated birthday gift and it did not disappoint! We were on our feet dancing and singing the whole show. I highly recommend it and hope to go back the next time they’re in town.

    Fun night of fun music

by bob on 2/24/24The Walker Theatre - Chattanooga

Always great to hear Abba songs and they did a nice job. It was a little campy at times but that made it even more fun.
