I haven’t been to a concert in years so this was a very special night and this group “Mania” was fantastic!
This was a fun concert! The Egyptian Theater is a great place for intimate concerts! The ABBA tribute band was very entertaining!
Loved the show…the singers … the music AND the theater!!!
Mania, ABBA tribute was fantastic! Their performances were spot on. Great stage presence and the costumes were fabulous. My only complain was about the venue. With a full capacity of around 725-750 people, there should be more restrooms. The women’s bathroom had only 5 stalls. The line before the performance was insane. Otherwise the venue was very good. Comfortable seats with cup holders which is nice.
Humble substitute for the real thing. Vocals were loud. Dishy choreography. Obscured lead guitarist and keyboards helped along with competent, but hardly audible bass. PLENTY of drums, always a crowd pleaser! There is no need for guy carrying, but not playing, an acoustic guitar. Spirited, and (95% female) crowd screamed a lot.
It was such a great show!!! The singers were so engaged with the guests and it made it more fun!! Great voices, dancing and overall such a wonderful experience. My husband and I haven't had so much fun for a very long time. If you love the music of ABBA, I would highly recommend to see this show.
When I bough third row seats I expected the sound to be fantastic. It wasn't. The group should have had a monitor speaker facing the crowd down low. All the music and sounds went over our heads to the back of the room. I got up and listen to the sounds in the back of the room and it sounded great. The only clear thing I could hear with the constant beat of the bass drum from the 3rd row. The rows were uncomfortably close together too. Neptune Theater is not a good place to sit close to the stage and hear the group.
Great fun show. All 6 of us really enjoyed it. Great theatre too!!
The microphone was very low capacity and the acoustic was terrible The actresses were rushing the tempo. It was quite a disappointment!!!
not only bad acoustics but the group itself is not worthy of your funds. the girls pranced around on stage like cheerleaders. the canned music was loud enough to drown out the bad singing
Fun show. Was so much fun seeing all the fans dressed for the era. Performances were the best, high energy.
Mania was a tremendous amount of fun and entertainment. The show was terrific. If you are an Abba fan or not you will love this show!!
Saw this show last year as well. Who doesn't love ABBA??? I will see it again next time they are in town
If you love ABBA music, you will enjoy the show. It is a little cheesy, but high energy.
I have seen this tribute group several times. They are a great team of performers. and very nice to their fans. This year marks 45 years ago singing with the Real ABBA group for year of the child tour at Anaheim Convention Center in 1979. I attended the show with a fellow choir singer from that concert. We were able to recreate the picture. What a great reunion and night of great music. Thank you for the Music.
Not impressed with the show, starting with poor sound system. The sound mixing was bad. The venue is dated and not ADA friendly. On the positive note, the staff was friendly. We could not tolerate it anymore so we left just before the intermission.
thought the acoustics could have been better. drum seemed to drown out the voices
Truly love the venue it’s a great place to see a performance. Actual performance itself was just OK. Most of it was very hokey. The acoustics most of the time were not good- you could not understand or hear the singers, which was quite disappointing. There were four or five songs that were excellent, so definitely enjoyed that, but would not go again.
The band got the audience up and moving as well as singing! Fun lighthearted energetic. Love the venue!
We both loved the show. We took our daughter for her birthday. She also loved it. We saw the same show last year at Sycuan and have to admit the acoustics in Sycuan were much better than Magnolia. We had trouble hearing them speak at Magnolia and even the music could have been a little louder. But the show was really good.
