About

David Spade on Tour

David Spade is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, talk show host, and television personality with razor-sharp sarcasm that will leave you in stitches. He's best known for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and hilariously endearing role in Joe Dirt (2001) -- a film he both starred in and co-wrote. Other box office hits from Spade's film career include popular titles like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and The Do Over (2016). In 2020, he was a People's Choice Award nominee for Favorite Comedy Movie Star in the film The Wrong Missy (2020). On the small screen, Spade received one Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for his work playing the wise-cracking assistant, Dennis Finch, in the American sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" He also starred in the beloved CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement," joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules," co-wrote the screenplay and performed voiceovers on MTV's "Beavis and Butt-Head," and hosted "The Showbiz Show with David Spade." Later, he became the host of Comedy Central's "Lights out with David Spade." Over the years, Spade has entertained viewers with his self-deprecating humor and outrageous wit as the host of the Teen Choice Awards and the Spike Video Game Awards, and made guest appearances on sitcoms like "The Goldbergs" and reality TV programs such as "Bachelor in Paradise." Now, you can enjoy a no-holds-barred night of laughter with tickets to David Spade live on tour as he returns to the slapstick stand-up comedy that first made him famous.

David Spade Live

A natural prankster born on July 2, 1964, Arizona native David Spade started doing stand-up while he was young with his family and friends urging him onto the stages of bars, theaters and campuses across the country. He performed in Arizona State's long-running sketch comedy show multiple times, where he attended school as a fraternity member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also got experience delivering laughs at Greasy Tony's Pizza during the Monday night comedy shows in the mid-'80s. In 1990, Spade took his comedy career to the next level when he joined the crew of "Saturday Night Live" -- first as a writer, then quickly making his way up to cast member. Shortly after his television debut on SNL, Rolling Stone dubbed him "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." Over the next five years, Spade would become a household favorite, well-known and loved for his comedic persona. He built his unique brand of sarcasm through skits like "Hollywood Minute" and "Total Bastard Airline" until eventually leaving the cast in 1996. His venture into film and television thereafter was immediately successful, earning himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by 2003.

Spade great. Not being able to heckle - not so much!

by Ronbo on 10/17/23SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - Sacramento

The show was great! The first gal that opened was to me actually the funniest of the bunch, but her, the writer from Snake Oil and Mr. Spade were all really funny. I have only attended a couple comedy shows over the last year (Tiffany Haddish before this), and in both cases (2 separate venues) they opened the show with an announcement that if anyone heckled the comics they would be removed from the venue. I don't know the purpose of this, and I am sure someone somewhere got out of hand and beligerent, but I personally am pretty sharp witted, and normally have the people around me (and sometimes the comedian as well) busting up laughing feeding off the comedian and bantering. It takes a good bit of the enjoyment out of it not having the ability to do that without getting booted out.

    Too short!

by Red head in the front row on 10/17/23SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - Sacramento

The show was good with decent openers, but David Spade himself was on stage less than an hour so I felt like I was jipped in the actual David Spade experience

Second time seeing Spade! The first show was about 6 years.

    by E. M. on 10/16/23

Spade did NOT disappoint! We have seats 11 rows from the stage, which was awesome. He nailed it all! My huband and I were laughing the entire time! His openers we great too! Can't wait for the next tour! Can't get enough of this guy!

by JEV on 10/15/23Town Hall - New York

Finally saw David Spade in person for the first time. He was hysterical. A few classic bits I knew, but most I had never heard. Can't wait to see him live again!

Some guy likes to chill with dudes that are chill

    by Some guy on 10/4/23

Spade is elite. Yes - if you see him twice in the same 24 month span, some of the material will be recycled. That is standard for all stand up comedians. Spade will surprise you.

    Not impressed

by Mamatrog on 10/3/23The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

I've seen David Spade before I listen to his podcasts and I've always thought he is the best at quick wit, I was not impressed with his show. The jokes were old, he didn't sound well, and honestly how many comedians have done the colonoscopy bit? He could have talked about his podcast and I'd be happier than the show he did in Vegas .

    Fun

by KBD on 10/3/23The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

David Spade was funny. His opener was funny. Nikki Glaser was also there and she was not funny. I didn’t know her at all she just happen to be there when we wanted to see David Spade. Nobody around me was laughing. It was quiet in my section for the majority of her time on stage. She says umm every other sentence. Disappointed that she wasn’t good but still had a good time.

    Classic Spade -- Never Disappoints

by Spade Brigade Wannabe on 10/3/23The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

I've seen David Spade several times and this show was funny as hell. Good mix of old and new material. If you're thinking about seeing him yourself... do it!

    David Spade IS AWESOME!

by Tina C on 10/3/23The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

I will be using TicketMaster again. I was reminded I could sell the tickets if I needed to and I appreciate this ability. It was a smooth entrance into the show, and David Spade and Nikki Glaser with a short bit by Bobby Miyamoto were AWESOMELY FLAWLESS in making all of our sides split with laughter. Thanks, Ticketmaster!

    Spade Phoned it in.

    by j. M. on 10/3/23

Venue was amazing, would see other events there and recommend. Nikki Glaser was the highlight, great set. We are big Spade fans but his set was recycled from the last time we saw him pre pandemic. Maybe he was sick? Super low energy like he just woke up. Not falling for his live events anymore, we’ll stick to the podcast where Carvey carries him.

    Venue is Beautiful

by Stephanie on 10/2/23The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

Theater was beautiful (originally designed for Phantom of the Opera). Nikki Glaser was ok. I expected more from David Spade. He didn't seem to put much effort in his set or his appearance.

    Unpolished

by Unclear on 9/30/23Town Hall - New York

Surprised that Spade wasn’t more polished, both in materials and appearance. Felt like a practice set at the Cellar, not a stage show. Openers were weak, one joke comics. They did not “warm up” the crowd, but I think served to make Spade look better. He is a funny guy! Should have and could have been better. Just saw Chelsea Handler, with Sam Jay as middle - two super pros with clear framework for solid sets. Master class.

    Funny, as expected

by Susie Robo on 9/29/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

I’ve been a David Spade fan forever so I was thrilled when I saw he was coming to my area. I read his memoir beforehand which was also dry and hysterical. He did not disappoint!!!
