About

Comedian. Actor. Musician. Advocate. Entrepreneur. Five-time Grammy and Emmy nominee.  Margaret Cho's strong voice has been lighting the path for other women, other members of underrepresented groups, other performers, to follow. Her recent television appearances - guest star on Season 2 of The Flight Attendant (HBO Max), guest star on Season 2 of Hacks (HBO Max) and two Netflix is a Joke comedy specials: Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration and Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin: Ladies Night Live - have expanded an already wide-ranging career, and her role as the 'mother hen' in the well-reviewed movie Fire Island solidifies why we all love Margaret in the first place.

As a comedian Margaret has been named one of Rolling Stone magazine's 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time, one of Vogue magazine's Top 9 Female Comedians of all time, while CNN chose her as one of the 50 People Who Changed American Comedy.  Thankfully, Margaret has more stories to tell, and her production company, Animal Family Productions, has multiple scripted shows in development for 2022 and beyond.

    We left early..intentionally

by Legit Review Expert on 5/21/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

We are full supporters of DEI. But the tops were so isolated to such issues , amongst both the opening act and the headliner, it became redundant. The opener hopped like a bunny through an interminable 45 mins or so, with lewdness and crudeness that rivals Andrew Dice Clay. The Headliner twerked for 10 or 15 mins-well past the initial chuckles. Her lined were full of highly politicized jokes and commentary skewed against the right wing party and graphic, disturbing stories of her 4 abortions. Much of the crowd had mercifully emptied out by the halfway point of her performance. We were 2 of them , that got home early to stream our favorite show and purge our minds of this disappointing performance.

    All I'd hoped

by Daniel on 5/21/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I've been wanting to see her for years and I finally got to. And as a bonus, Daniel Webb opened and I LOVE him. I laughed so hard at both sets, my face and stomach actually hurt. We were still laughing about it at dinner after. Go see her NOW!! ❤️

Margaret Cho and her opening act were amazing!

Everything about the show was perfect. Great timing, no lapses in the show and riveting throughout.

    She’s been funnier

by FLLDawg on 5/21/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I actually enjoyed the opening act Daniel Webb better! I’ve seen Margaret in many cities in a course of 10 years. Margaret was still funny, but it just wasn’t the same it seemed. I wished she would have had more material especially with the political climate in our home state of Florida. I didn’t care for her talking about “lips sizes” and what she enjoys for a good 30 minutes, lol. The time sure did fly though.

Both Margaret Cho & Layne (her warmup) were hilarious and on their A game! We really enjoyed every minute from start to finish.

    Tired with hints of vitality

by Rick on 5/21/23Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Her physical humor is still quite funny but the outrageous raunch feels tired these days. Her observational humor is less insightful than it used to be. Too much about how messed up things are and too little about what that means for the country or where that goes from here.

    Meh

    by S. N. on 5/3/23

It was pretty cool to see a legend perform, but it was definitely not laugh out loud funny. Not memorable in the slightest

    Not our wheelhouse

by Ken on 4/18/23The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

Should have done more research on act the preponderance of which was narrowly focused on Ms Cho’s personal life, all good most of audience seemed pleased, solid effort just not really for us Live and learn

This show was not funny. Too political. Did not enjoy at all.

    Very Entertaining

by R. H. on 4/17/23Music Box at the Borgata - Atlantic City

We enjoyed the show tremendously. Cho was on point and funny as always. Normally I don't pay close attention to the opening act. However, we all thought the opening comedian was HILARIOUS and we would pay to see him as a headliner. Great show!

    Great Performance

by MaryJean on 4/17/23Music Box at the Borgata - Atlantic City

Daniel Webb was the perfect warm-up act for Margaret Cho. Her performance was fantastic! She's just as funny and dirty and hard-hitting as ever. We had a great time, even if I'll never see a pitbull puppy's head or boba tea the same way again!

    Amazong

by Louden Clear on 4/16/23The Wilbur - Boston

Margaret was amazing. She put on a good show. She talked about women's rights and what's going on with the world among other things. She also did her Moms voice (which her fans love!). This was my first time seeing her and hopefully not my last. The only thing I really wished for was a meet and greet.

The show I’ve been waiting 21 years to see.

by Tom on 4/16/23The Wilbur - Boston

I’ve been a fan of Margaret’s since I high school when a friend let me listen to Notorious C.H.O. Out of their right earbud in study hall. I’ve wanted to see her live ever since. She did not disappoint. When she came out onto the stage and imitated a dog with diarrhea or as she called it “twerking”, I knew it was gonna be an amazing show. She had me laughing the whole time.
