Wayne Newton is a singer and entertainer from Norfolk, Virginia. Over the course of his decades-long career, Newton has become synonymous with the glitz and glamor of the Strip, earning the nickname “Mr. Las Vegas.” Getting his start in the 1950s, the then-teen singer was mentored by superstars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin. Some of his best-known songs include “Danke Schoen,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady” and “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast.” By 1963, he had become a headliner at the Flamingo in Las Vegas and worked his way to being named the highest-grossing act in Sin City history. Through the 1990s, Newton headlined shows at Caesars Palace, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Bally’s before signing a 10-year contract in 1999 as the first-ever headliner-in-residence at the Stardust Resort and Casino — though the deal was cut short in 2005 as a result of the venue’s demolition. In 2016, Newton performed his lounge show Up Close & Personal at Bally’s, followed by his 2019 stint at Caesars Palace to celebrate his 60th year on stage. In 2024, Newton will embark on his Up Close and Personal Tour.

He is truely a one of a kind, sincere man. His show was awesome and I would recommend it to anyone.
Wayne Newton brings up some highlights and memories from his career. Good show.
Best Show by far, He is Mr. Las Vegas! First Class. Don't miss this Show!
If you are in Las Vegas, do not miss seeing Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton. Wayne's show Up Close and Personal is truly a trip through time as Wayne tells his story about how he began and goes through the ups and downs of his career, and meanwhile weaving songs throughout this performance. Wayne is so personal with the audience it's like being in his living room and talking with him. Then, the audience members can meet and talk with Wayne after the show by purchasing a "Meet and Greet"ticket - this is well worth it to have a photo with such a show business ICON. When in VEGAS, be sure to see WAYNE NEWTON at the Flamingo Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip!
Been coming out to Vegas for twenty years. Born in the late seventies and grew up in the eighties. Vegas has always been a fascinating place to me, and the entertainment alike. It took this long but late forties is better then never. Wayne looked great, sounded great and everything was so intimate and real. He's such a great story teller! The footage to go with the stories, the question and answer format, the band, his WIFE, the entire set up is so classic and really delivered. I laughed, cried, sang along. An hour and forty five minutes! Best value and bang for the buck at the Flamingo.
Wayne Newton is an incredible talent. He's witty, sincere, and goes out of his way to give his audience the most enjoyable evening possible. His audience ranged in age, and had many standing ovations. You will not be disappointed.
Wayne's show was wonderful. I did not know about him growing up and was overly surprised how wonderful the show was. It is well worth the cost. Loved it.
Wayne is terrific and it was wonderful to see him in the Bugsy Cabaret Showroom. Intimate and comfortable. Not a bad seat in the house. Wayne's singing and stories are not to be missed. We did the meet and greet afterward and her was so friendly and nice.
We have seen Wayne twice before in large venues, but this smaller more intimate venue was outstanding. He was funny and very entertaining. His personal stories and clips of tapes were fun to hear and watch. We would definitely go see him again when we are in the area. It was money well spent.
Couldn't go to Las Vegas without seeing the Legendary Mr. Wayne Newton at the Flamingo... ✨️let alone having his personal assistant approach my husband & I at our table to let us know that Wayne wanted to give us a complimentary Meet & Greet with him! My teen idol growing up and finally at "61"years of age, I got to meet Wayne Up Close and Personal and it was worth the wait! Thanks Wayne for making my dream come true after all these years! 🥰🫶
Wayne Newton is Mr. Las Vegas! Super talented and a Classy performer. A Must See when in Las Vegas! Loved it!
Intimate setting w/a legend. A humble musician and singer. I enjoyed hearing about Wayne's journey, passions, and love for his family. I felt like I was sitting in his living room. Would recommend it highly!!
I'm a big fan of the 1950s-60s era of Las Vegas entertainers. There's plenty of impersonators you can see on the strip, whether it be the Rat Pack or a variety of Elvis performers. But I chose to see Wayne for the authentic experience. He's really the last man standing from the golden period of Las Vegas personalities. To be completely honest I went in with tempered expectations. I knew Wayne was getting up there in years and I hadn't been able to locate any recently recorded music to hear how he sounds now. I was completely blown away by his show. Not only does he still sound great, but he hasn't lost an ounce of his energy or charm. The show is about 50% music and 50% show biz stories. I absolutely loved the format and could listen to Wayne tell stories about Sinatra, Elvis, Deano, etc all night. I'd urge anyone who is on the fence about seeing Wayne to buy a ticket. I was smiling from ear to eat through the whole thing. It was everything I wanted it to be: a celebration not only of Wayne's life and achievements, but a rare opportunity to be transported to an amazing time in show business history.
Absolutely amazed with Mr. Newton’s Las Vegas live show performance, what an amazing man blessed to have such a long career. Would recommend this show to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Viva Las Vegas and Mr. Newton!
After recent passing of Jimmy Buffett, decided to see the artists I've never seen before, especially the 'icons'. This was in an intimate theater setting, got to hear stories straight from Wayne as he sang about 15 feet away. Learned some new information, including that he plays many instruments without formal training and that he enjoyed his role in Vegas Vacation. The post-concert meet and greet was also worth the extra budget to shake hands and say hello to Mr. Las Vegas. Good show and recommend it to those wishing to see icons of the music world.
Really great show. One of the superstars of entertainment. Enjoyed mixture of songs and stories.
This is a show to go to. It's a fun, music filled journey of Wayne's career. Stories, tunes, and entertainment. See him before he's gone.
Excellent performance once again by Wayne. He hasn't lost his touch. Not only the music but the informal presentation of some very interesting facts about hi life. It's a once in a lifetime must to see.
This was a really good show. He played a lot of instruments, and he went through his career through pictures, video and storytelling. The overall idea was he had a very positive and sweet outlook. His wife is beautiful and sweet and she was on stage with him. We had such a good time. I really respect his talent and how long he has been in show business.
