So, Beetlejuice was great. For being off Broadway, they did a good job. Most cast members were comparable to those I saw on Broadway. However, the production value was definitely less, with half of the stage being utilized several times throughout.
Also, on the venue, rather than the musical. The side seats make it difficult to view the entire stage and performance, which is disappointing. It would have been nice to have more security presence and a standard for seating after the show began. Honestly, I wish they would treat it like Alamo Draft House where you can't come in late, or at least until intermission. As far as the call for more security, many people had phones out or were talking continuously and nobody from security asked them to stop. There was a lady in the row ahead of me that talked the entire first half after showing up several songs in that really took away from the experience.
Overall, the musical was great, venue, not as much.
